Official: Snappi joins c0ntact

After being set to join TIGER and standing in for Astralis, Marco "⁠Snappi⁠" Pfeiffer has found a new team to represent in c0ntact, confirming previous reports.

The 30-year-old in-game leader that represented the likes of Copenhagen Wolves, Heroic, and OpTic in the past has had a turbulent last few months. In March, he was supposed to become a part of FunPlus Phoenix as the deal was allegedly made between the Chinese organization and Heroic, but things fell apart as Patrick "⁠es3tag⁠" Hansen linked up with Astralis.

As FunPlus Phoenix withdrew from the deal, Snappi and co. were left without the Flashpoint slot, as well as the ESL Pro League S11 spot they previously forfeited. Snappi was benched from the team upon their return to Europe, and has been on a look out for a new team since.

Snappi has joined c0ntact

Snappi was then on the brink of joining Mongolian side TIGER alongside Owen "⁠smooya⁠" Butterfield, but the organization gave up on overhauling the roster last minute, after signing the European duo. Snappi then joined Astralis as a stand-in for BLAST Premier Spring Showdown, averaging a 0.77 rating as the Danes secured just one map win and suffered an early exit.

Now, his addition to c0ntact is in hopes of invigorating the European mixture that has been struggling since the transfer from CR4ZY. The Flashpoint-partnered organization currently has a 13W-21L map record, falling from #20 in the world rankings to #42 in a six-month span.

The team has also recently added a second coach, Daniel "⁠djL⁠" Narancic, previously IGL of Red Reserve and Japaleno. Currently, it is not known who will make room for the Snappi addition long term, but Nestor "⁠LETN1⁠" Tanić will be the one stepping down for the the cs_summit 6 closed qualifier which they kick off at 15:00 versus AVEZ.

The only reason emi insisted to join CR4ZY now c0ntact was because of the spot in the major, AKA free stickers. Since the major got canceled and c0ntact actually need to earn spot at the major, emi will either get removed or step down by his own choice.

Yeah Nexa and hunter surely were more than half of Cr4zy's success but Letn1 were adopted there pretty well and that core were really seem promising since nexa and hunter went to g2 (one of my favourite players btw) and they were played together with Valiance. As long as emi gets replaced with some F I R E P O W E R, snappi is a big upgrade because you now have an IGL and you don't need to have emi on your team fulfilling that role. letn1 was neither fragging nor in game leading.

emi was moved into the IGL position from the coaching position. My guess would be that emi is going back to join the coaching team (considering they have a whole bunch), and someone young and unproven will step into LETN1's shoes.
