Vitality crush FATE; North defeat Movistar Riders in cs_summit 6 Europe Group B

Vitality and North will meet in the cs_summit 6 Group B winners’ match after defeating FATE and Movistar Riders, respectively, in their openers.

FATE made top 4 in the cs_summit 6 Europe open qualifier, and then beat Dignitas and PACT in the closed qualifier to secure a spot in the RMR event, where they were placed into Group B. Their opening match, against Vitality, was a different story, however, as they were manhandled by the BLAST Premier Spring Europe Finals runners-up in two maps. On the other side of the GSL bracket North faced off against Movistar Riders for the fourth time since the end of last year, with the Danes carrying a 6-0 map record against the Spaniards going into today’s match. They once again managed to take the win, but this time gave up one map in the process.

Doubles by Mathieu "ZywOo" Herbaut and Cédric "RpK" Guipouy got Vitality ahead against FATE on the defending side of Overpass. After clean anti-ecos, the Frenchmen kept charging ahead in the first gun round as Richard "shox" Papillon and Kévin "misutaaa" Rabier both tallied doubles. The Bulgarian team kept running into a wall again and again until the seventh round when they won a pistol buy with a quick play on B. Back with guns in their hands, FATE were unable to repeat the feat, once again unable to find openings in the defense, winning just one more round in a 2-13 half. Vitality then won the second pistol round with a B rush, closing the first map 16-2.

Vitality made quick work of FATE losing just five rounds in two maps

RpK got three pistol kills on the attacking side of Nuke, including a 1vs2 clutch, to give Vitality the early lead. This time around FATE didn’t let the French squad take such a large lead and won the third round to make it 1-2. FATE were unable to follow it up, however, and Vitality once again took the reins, going on to take another 7-1 lead and further instill their dominance in the series, ending the half 12-3. Taking the second pistol round, Vitality closed the series out cleanly, 16-3, to proceed to the upper bracket.

Movistar Riders started off on the right foot, winning a successful B attacking in the opening pistol round of Inferno. Riders weren’t able to win the bonus round, but did play the first round in which both teams had full buys with another play towards the B site, making it 4-1. Down 1-5 North wo two rounds to break the Terrorists’ economy, but then lost to a forcebuy. Back-and-forth rounds saw the scoreboard hit 6-3 in favor of the Spaniards, but a 1vs1 clutch by Philip "aizy" Aistrup kept the half close. From there on out the Danes controlled the pace, winning five rounds in a row to lead 8-7.

A successful A attack made it 9-7 as North started to create a gap after winning two anti-ecos, widening it after the first gun round. Despite the slow start on the CT side, Movistar Riders found their groove, making it to 11-13, but then lost to a forcebuy that sealed their fate on Inferno as the Danes closed it out 16-11.

North will go up against Vitality for a spot in the playoffs

Movistar Riders were once again first to take the lead, this time on the attacking side of Vertigo. The first gun round ended up in a 3vs3 afterplant situation on A, but well-placed utility by North to set up the retake ended up in the Danes winning the round. A huge round by Christian "loWel" Garcia Antoran with a 1vs4 clutch in a forcebuy kept Movistar Riders ahead, 6-3, as they went on to win the half 9-6.

Everybody survived in the Spanish squad as they took the second pistol round cleanly, going up 12-6 before North could reply. aizy had a crucial ace to put North back in the game, 10-13, as they then made it to 12-13. A clutch play by Alejandro "mopoz" Fernández-Quejo Cano in a 1vs2 on an eco round kept the Spaniards ahead, although the Danes kept pushing, making it 14-14 with all of the money on the line for the CT squad. Finally, the defenders stood their ground in the last two rounds to push the match to the decider.

For the third time Movistar Riders were first out of the gate, this time on the CT side of Overpass, but they were quickly put on the back foot by North, who took a commanding 5-2 lead before losing a round. The two teams then played close rounds to a 9-6 half for the Danes, who were able to increase their lead winning the second pistol round. Movistar Riders didn’t let up, however, and started to mount their comeback as soon as they could get rifles. North managed to squeeze a few rounds to get close to match point, and then won a crucial 2vs2 retake on A to make it 15-13 before closing the map and match out, 16-13.

Imho hes one of the best site anchors out there, and arguably one if the greatest if all time. Vitality really need to change out shox and misutaa for an IGL and another rifler, or even if they could get a deal with G2 if they fall off have ZyWoO rifle and Kenny awp. It could be a dangerous combo. apEX as an IGL has been super underwhelming

Super underwhelming? Bruh, his latest calls have been on point. They only lost to Complexity cause they were worn out like hell. Apex is doing great as an igl, especially for someone who never was one. Misutaa crumbles under pressure in his first ever T1 grand final but sure, happens to everybody. Show has been winning clutches, closing out rounds, aka exactly why they got him on the team. Vitality look on point and I believe they will win cs_summit 6, basically a year after their cs_summit 4 win.

Vitality won this match with ez, but still I feel like they kinda lack chemistry, and althrough that on the back of ZywOo's carry their results look great, I don't think this lineup is going to work. FATE is interesting, only thing that coems to my mind is niki1, who I didn't really hear much about, he seems to be the weak point of the roster, but other than that I think this roster have some potential. Althrough North won this game, they are still a really bad team, It's mostly cause by Kristou who is total BOT, but he is not the only reason, this is just a very bad team. Movistar Riders is just really bad. Nothing more to say.

Bro, ALEX left them and they had 3 days to find a solution because of roster lock, considering the situation they're performing way better than expected, apEX seems to be more than a decent IGL and misutaaa is improving, let's wait before to give conclusions
