TYLOO and Invictus to face off in PAL Summer grand final

The Perfect World Asia League Summer final will be played between TYLOO and Invictus, while ViCi and Beyond will battle for third-place.

The Perfect World Asia League Summer semi-finals kicked off with Invictus and ViCi going head-to-head. Andrew "⁠kaze⁠" Khong and company had come out on top in a three-map series in the group stage, played on Inferno, Nuke and Mirage, but they were unable to replicate the feat in today's playoff match on a completely different set of maps as they were swept on Dust2 (16-4) and Vertigo (16-10), unable to make it to the decider on Train.

TYLOO will lead the RMR rankings after PAL Summer

TYLOO and Beyond met in the second semi-final of the day, with the former coming out ahead after two maps. The Chinese side struggled on the first map, Inferno (16-14), closing it out in the last round of regulation, but then comfortably sealed the deal on their map pick, Mirage (16-7), to secure a spot in the grand final.

Since TIGER were knocked out in the quarter-finals and ViCi were sent to the third-place decider match while TYLOO secured a spot in the grand final, YuLun "⁠Summer⁠" Cai and company will come out of the Perfect World Asia League Summer leading the RMR ranking ahead of the final Major-ranking tournament this fall.

ViCi on the other hand will hope to scoop up the 1750 RMR points given out to the third-place finisher after their match against Beyond to keep the running close and not fall too far behind TYLOO in the Asian Regional Major Ranking.

The schedule for the final day of PAL Summer is:

14:00 TYLOO vs. Invictus (BO3)
