Chaos beat ZPG to qualify for FunSpark ULTI
Joshua "steel" Nissan's troops punched their ticket to the Chinese LAN following a hard-fought victory against their North American rivals.
Chaos became on Saturday the first team to qualify for FunSpark ULTI after beating Ze Pug Godz 2-1 in the grand final of the North American closed qualifier. After dropping down to the lower bracket on Thursday, steel's charges exacted revenge on ZPG in what was yet another close match between the two teams, who have faced each other three times this week.
Chaos join invited duo FURIA and TYLOO on the list of participants for FunSpark ULTI, a $300,000 LAN event that will be held in China. The eight-team tournament is currently scheduled for December 1-6 but is likely to be postponed until 2021 due to the coronavirus pandemic. The final dates will be announced once it is safe again for international players to travel to China, according to the tournament organiser, FunSpark.

The grand final began in the same manner as Thursday's encounter as Chaos took the lead in the series after a close game on Train, though things almost took a scary turn when they let three map points go to waste in regulation before finally wrapping things up in overtime. Gage "Infinite" Green and Will "dazzLe" Loafman took over on Inferno as they powered Ze Pug Godz to a convincing victory before Chaos responded on Nuke, where youngster Nathan "leaf" Orf pulled off a 30-bomb.
