G2 out of ESL Pro League playoff race after four straight losses

G2's latest loss to AGO puts the French-Serbian squad out of the fight to make the ESL Pro League playoffs.

G2 showed good results in their first two ESL Pro League Season 12 Europe matches, beating both OG and GODSENT, but a 1-2 loss to HEROIC, the same team that knocked G2 out in the ESL One Cologne semi-finals, started a losing streak that the French-Serbian team has not been able to put an end to.

G2 lost 0-2 to ENCE followed by 1-2 losses to BIG and lastly AGO, whom they fell to in overtime on the decider map, which ended their hopes of making the playoffs.

G2 currently sit with 6 points in Group A, and although they could get to 9 if they beat Natus Vincere in their last fixture, the same as HEROIC and OG currently have, the latter two will face each other in the last match, with the winner ending above the French-Serbian team.

G2 will not proceed to the ESL Pro League playoffs

After their final group stage match against NAVI, Nemanja "⁠nexa⁠" Isaković and company will have some time to regroup before picking competition back up in October.

G2 are slated to play IEM New York next, starting on October 6, followed by DreamHack Open Fall, which will run on October 15-25 with a spot at the IEM Global Challenge on the line for the winner in the European division, before ending the month out with BLAST Premier Fall Series.

No one mentions that Ago actually played really well, but they did! I agree that G2 should and could have beaten them on another day, but still I think Ago played really well and was surprised. Imho, G2 might have some choking issues, but otherwise I think generally after they got the serbian duo in, they have looked really scary, especially if Jacks and kenny+ama also show up. Just stop whining about online CS, it is what we have, everyone is equal, and a win is a win.
