MOUZ and Movistar Riders will vie for the final spot in the RMR tournament in Friday's fifth-place decider.

SAW and Endpoint have qualified for DreamHack Open Fall after moving past Movistar Riders and MOUZ, respectively, in the semi-final stage of the closed qualifier's lower bracket. There is now just one spot up for grabs in the European RMR tournament, with Finn "⁠karrigan⁠" Andersen's troops facing a must-win situation in the fifth-place decider match to avoid a disastrous elimination.

SAW, who had been sent to the lower bracket by Sprout after defeating Complexity and x6tence in the upper bracket (with both teams fielding coaches), sealed a hard-fought victory against their Iberian rival with a stunning comeback from 9-14 down on the final map, Inferno.

Endpoint beat mousesports for a second time in the qualifier

The qualification for the RMR tournament is an unprecedented feat in the history of the Portuguese squad, which was created at the start of the year. It also comes just three months after the team took part in the BLAST Premier Spring Europe Showdown, in which they finished in last place despite snatching a victory against Vitality.

After being forced to navigate their way through the lower bracket following a 0-2 defeat to Endpoint in the opening round, MOUZ hit back with a vengeance as they cruised to a 16-1 victory on their opponents' map pick, Train. But Endpoint, who unveiled Shahar "⁠flameZ⁠" Shushan as their new fifth player last week, responded in a close Mirage game before completing the reverse sweep with a double-overtime win on Dust2, where they managed to stay composed despite blowing a 14-8 lead.

DreamHack Open Fall will run from October 15-25, with $115,000, RMR points and a spot at December's IEM Global Challenge LAN on the line. The team list for the tournament currently looks as follows:

I don't see it as a problem, if they were 40 maybe, the biggest issue with age is patience and time, because naturally you'll have more responsibilities (sons etc), but I don't think you'll lose "cs abilities" with age. If they're committed, training well, watching demos and analyzing their opponents, everything will work.

I think it was the highest point that a Portuguese team reached, we had some things in 1.6, but I think that nothing of this level, I remember the RoyalFlush go far with fox JuDiCe Kickfl1p iNsideR calc And yesterday we had the proof that a Portuguese team a few years later did something great too. In the past eswc had a much higher relevance than today and it was practically what defines the best team of the year, we had cpl etc but all right. Regarding the saw, I write this for them, because I know they will read it, they are totally congratulated and we all knew they had to make it, it took years for some of the members of this team, it took years to get here, but this is the proof that the hard work pays off, in fact it makes me sad that the trio roman mut and fox is separated, but we realize that maybe it was for the good of both sides.
