tabz steps down from Galaxy Racer

The in-game leader decided to place himself on the bench due to differences in visions between him and the rest of the team.

Simon "⁠tabz⁠" Feldt announced his decision to step down from Galaxy Racer's lineup on Twitter on Tuesday. He will remain contracted to the organization while he looks for another team, leaving the Swedish side without an in-game leader.

"The main reason for benching myself is because CS:GO is a team game and my vision of playing as an individual and captain was different," the Swede explained in a Twitlonger post. "I felt that my in-game leading is and was very different from what they wanted and needed."

FREDDyFROG & co. are down to four

The 22-year-old has been on Galaxy Racer's books since the former Japaleno squad signed with the organization in late June. In that time, the Swedish side mostly fluctuated between 40th-50th place in the world ranking, with their best result being a semi-finals finish in Eden Arena: Malta Vibes Cup 7.

More recently, Galaxy Racer managed to escape the relegation process in ESEA MDL, placing 12th in the regular season with a 7-10 record to retain a place in the league ahead of the 36th season.

After tabz stepped down, Galaxy Racer are left with:
