GODSENT bench kRYSTAL

The organization has confirmed the benching of the German in-game leader amid reports of changes within the team.

The possibility of the in-game leader's departure from GODSENT's active roster was first reported by HLTV.org earlier this month. At the time, the team was looking into options to replace Kevin "⁠kRYSTAL⁠" Amend and already began testing former c0ntact player Luka "⁠emi⁠" Vuković in his place.

kRYSTAL was the last remaining founding member of the team that was formed at the end of 2018 under the NoChance tag, who started gaining international recognition after a few changes and signed with SMASH in September 2019, before they got transferred to GODSENT two months later.

The last remaining member of the original NoChance was benched

Under the German's leadership, the team became a stable top-20 side in 2020, especially thanks to some impressive results in the first half of the year, which saw them place highly in the first two European Regional Major Ranking events, ESL One: Road to Rio and cs_summit 6.

kRYSTAL now departs GODSENT's active roster at a time when their results have taken a hit, as they were unable to qualify for Flashpoint 2 and placed 11th at the latest RMR tournament, DreamHack Open Fall.

The move also comes just a few weeks after it was reported that the Swedish organization was in advanced talks with FunPlus Phoenix regarding the transfer of the European roster to the Flashpoint-partnered side.

GODSENT's active roster is down to the following four players and coach, with kRYSTAL now sitting on the bench:

tbh, i dont think firepower was ever an issue on Godsent so im sure there must be some sort of other issue that lead to them dropping krystal. maden, zehn, styko farlig are all good players who can frag well. dont think anyone can deny that as an IGL krystal is probably one of the best there has been, atleast in csgo, pretty much just his fragging inability which held him back from actually achieving anything

If you srsly think that krystal isn't bad, please stop watching pro cs.. krystal might have some sort of good tactics or calls once there and there but hes mechanical skills are beyond BAD.. Hes the dead weight of godsent, even styko should be benched and put someone more consistent player on hes place. + if krystal isnt making godsent bad like you stated, then what is? Zehn plays like a god along with farlig most of the times and are the stars of the team but what is it then if not krystal which makes godsent such a low tier team?

krystal was doing EVERYTHING by himself when it came to tactics etc, devilwalk as a coach only brings motivation (confirmed by pronax). Also krystal didnt care about his stats cuz he was sacrificing everything for his team by playing the worst spots, always playing the worst weapons when they had no money and so on. GL getting into top 30 with the new line up, which will not happen.

OK, I need to address an issue here. Not long ago we have made a video where we reacted about negative comments on our team, and there I mentioned that "without me there would be no GODSENT" - and this is used against me a lot recently. Smartasses - just because my K/D is negative or I don't have as many frags as Zehn or farlig, does not mean I don't fit into the team well. Why do you think I'm still here? Why did we reach this far into the major? Think a bit before you criticise me only because of a simple sentence the background of which you have abbsolutely no idea about - plus on the other hand you also have no idea about the in-game part. About that sentence - it is completely true. If it wasn't for me, the team would have fallen apart, no one can do what I do, I play the most despicable positions, I die first a lot of times so I can get traded (ofc if I go first and get 2 entries and a free bombsite, no one talks about that). I don't care about these things anymore since we have reached this level but yes, this is a team based game if it was not clear for you guys just yet. Keep looking at my stats and bad KD or when I have more deaths than kills, but there is a reason I'm still here. Once again sorry for everyone, but I needed to clear this up because many people have no idea about this stuff and keep attacking people for no reason.
