OG overcome fnatic to reach Flashpoint 2 grand final

A big comeback on Mirage and a dominant showing on Overpass added up for a 2-0 victory for OG over fnatic in the consolidation final of Flashpoint 2, with the Swedish side finishing in third place while OG go on to play Virtus.pro in the final at 20:00 .

The consolidation final saw OG pick Mirage and have a tough time on their map, only putting the pieces together after being down 13-8 on the CT side. They managed to overcome an in-form Jesper "⁠JW⁠" Wecksell (36K-22D) to go up 1-0 ahead of Overpass, where they trounced Maikil "⁠Golden⁠" Selim's squad by dropping just five rounds in total.

fnatic converted a chaotic retake to claim the first round on Mirage, OG's pick, and started to build a strong lead after a mix-buy win sucked the wind out of their opponents sails just as they were starting to find some success as Ts. The score was 9-3 when OG managed to break into the B site, and with some late-half momentum, make it a respectable half, 9-6.

The Swedes weren't sweating yet, though, as another pistol going their way allowed them to push to 13-8. JW was on fire, breaking the 30 kill mark shortly, but when the map seemed in the bag for fnatic, the European mixture stayed alive thanks to the Nordic duo Aleksi "⁠Aleksib⁠" Virolainen and Valdemar "⁠valde⁠" Bjørn Vangså. OG scraped back to 14-14 and then completed the comeback, 16-14, after a good read on their CT side.

JW started Overpass how he ended Mirage, clutching a 1v2 on the second-round force that helped fnatic to a 3-1 lead, but things turned swiftly. The Swedes hit a will trying to go B as valde and Issa "⁠ISSAA⁠" Murad were on point, and fell apart in crucial mid-round situations.
