mousesports explore options to replace karrigan
The in-game leader is currently deciding on whether he will stay in MOUZ.
MOUZ are currently exploring their options to replace Finn "karrigan" Andersen, HLTV.org and 1pv.fr have learned and the organization has confirmed. The Dane has been weighing up his options ahead of his contract's expiry in March, with a report from theclutch.com.br linking him with a return to FaZe back in November.
The German organization has been in talks with karrigan regarding a new contract agreement. As the 30-year-old has not decided on his future yet and asked for more time, MOUZ have been forced to start their search for potential replacements in the event that the in-game leader leaves, to prepare for the looming 2021 season.

"We have been in talks with karrigan in regards to a new agreement," MOUZ' Chief Business Development Officer, Jan Dominicus, told HLTV.org. "He asked us for more time, as it's a big decision for both of us. Meanwhile, we are of course exploring other options to be prepared in case Finn wants to try something different."
HLTV.org and 1pv.fr have learned that karrigan is not inclined to sign a new deal with MOUZ. In an early December interview following the rumors of FaZe's interest in him, the in-game leader gave a non-committal answer when asked about his future.
karrigan has been a part of MOUZ for nearly two years, ever since the organization underwent a core change in early 2019, with just Chris "chrisJ" de Jong and Robin "ropz" Kool staying on from the previous roster. The Danish veteran led the team back to the top as mouz became a top-ten team by the middle of the year and went on to play in five consecutive grand finals at the brink of 2019-2020, four of which they won.
The team struggled throughout 2020 after they clinched their last title at ICE Challenge in February, however, as they dropped out of the top ten for nearly six months due to several early eliminations. After bringing in Aurimas "Bymas" Pipiras to replace Özgür "woxic" Eker during the summer break and Torbjørn "mithR" Nyborg as the new coach in November, MOUZ only managed to recover at the end of the year with a successful run in the BLAST Premier Fall Showdown and a runner-up campaign at DreamHack Masters Winter.
