Jame wins cs_summit 7 MVP award

The Russian in-game leader won his second medal after posting some impressive numbers across the board in the team's title-winning campaign.

Virtus.pro captain Dzhami "⁠Jame⁠" Ali has earned the Most Valuable Player (MVP) award of cs_summit 7 by HLTV.org. The Russian AWPer (1.31 tournament rating) beat out fnatic's Freddy "⁠KRIMZ⁠" Johansson (1.21) in a close race that came down to the final map, which the CIS team won 16-8 to seal a 2-0 series victory.

Finn "⁠karrigan⁠" Andersen, who averaged a 1.23 rating in the competition, was also a strong candidate for the award until MOUZ lost to Virtus.pro in the semi-finals earlier on Sunday.

Jame adds a second MVP medal to his collection

Jame finished all but two of ten maps that he played in the tournament with 1.15+ ratings, and had above-average ratings in every playoff map. He led the tournament's stats leaderboards in nine categories, including rating, damage difference per round (21.7), deaths per round (0.47), KAST (80.4%) and AWP kills per round (0.53).

This is the second MVP award for Jame, who also won it at BLAST Pro Series Moscow in 2019, when the team still represented AVANGAR.

its not about overall ratings vs certain opponents. look at last year and for example xantares who had 1.11 vs top30 but 1.03 in elite events. its top20 from whole year and not from 2 tournaments where vp/avangar played well. jame had average stats from big events and the most important part is that he wasnt relevant enough in those events(36 maps). individually i would have no problem to put him in top30(or even top20) but based on how it works i highlyd oubt that hltv even considered him... or look at shiro last year hltv.org/stats/players?startDate=2020-01.. and there was list of 21-30 players that hltv leaked and guess what? he wasnt there neither

first of all there were no majors last year so thats completely irrelevant. and secondly so what? tarik won major and major mvp and guess what? didnt make top20 and why? because its from whole year and not from 1-2 events...and xantares was part of 4th best team last year and still didnt make it unlike for example blameF(col out of top10) and yet he was 6th... 2021 and some people still dont understand how hltv top20 works...

dude xantares didnt got in because they gave syrson advantage over him first of all. second of all tarik has nowhere near good numbers like jame who is star player of his team,tarik xantares they are not best players of their teams. And its not james fault that in 2020 were no majors,wich we saw this year how much katowice was important for 2020 rankings.Imagine how much majors are valued for top20

I don't think sanji is inconsistent, just that he is now utilized better. When they are with Adren they just lose rounds --> sanji have to play deagle/smg more --> bad rating. Now they are winning rounds sanji can actually play with rifle and put up good numbers
