Endpoint round out roster with BOROS
The Jordanian youngster has inked a two-year deal with Endpoint.
Endpoint have announced the signing of 17-year-old Mohammad "BOROS" Malhas from NASR in a two-year deal that will see him take the spot in the starting five previously held by star player William "mezii" Merriman, who recently left the squad in order to join his compatriot Alex "ALEX" McMeekin in fnatic as they rebuild their team from a Swedish one to an international combine.
The addition of the incoming youngster to Endpoint bears semblance to the move they made in the 2020 off-season, inking the up-and-coming Israeli player Shahar "flameZ" Shushan, also 17-years-old at the time, who excelled during his tenure in the British outfit and was later recruited by OG.
"The reality is that even if we were looking to replace Mezii 1-for-1, either the player doesn't exist or he's not available to us," Endpoint's Head Coach Ross "RossR" Rooney said. "In the same fashion as always, when we are adding someone to the roster what we look to solve for is maybe not who's the absolute best player we could acquire right in that moment, more so who is the player that could be something special and then aim to build around that. We are very fortunate to have a group of legacy players who accommodate for anyone, selflessly."

"BOROS may have a small sample size of data on HLTV but when combining that with all other platforms and you look at how he is trending as a player it wasn't a difficult decision," the coach added. "Our preference is to look for players whose propensity for risk taking is high as it's easier to reign an aggressive player in than it is to try to get a passive one to do the opposite and BOROS falls into a pool of absurdly aggressive players which is something that excites everyone."
BOROS started to make a name for himself with the top Middle Eastern side, NASR, in 2020 and the first half of 2021, helping the team qualify for the BLAST Premier Spring Showdown and reaching the later stages of several qualifiers in the packed European field. During his time in NASR, which came to an end in July, he averaged a team-high 1.13 rating coupled with an outstanding 1.30 impact rating.
Beyond the HLTV database, the 17-year-old impressively qualified for FPL in July after his first month in FPL-C while being one of the top performers on the FACEIT platform, a feat that only Mathieu "ZywOo" Herbaut was able to achieve at such a young age, and he is currently the highest ranked Jordanian player on the pugging platform with over 3800 ELO and boasting more than 8800 matches played.
