imoRR parts ways with Sangal

The star of the Turkish team will reveal the next step in his career soon.

Ömer "⁠imoRR⁠" Karataş is no longer a part of Sangal, the organization announced on Friday. The 21-year-old player leaves Sangal after a year with the organization during which he played 199 maps and averaged a team-high 1.18 rating.

"An explanation about my career is coming soon," imoRR said in the announcement which followed shortly after Ismailcan "⁠XANTARES⁠" Dörtkardeş' became a free agent. With the former BIG star strongly linked to Özgür "⁠woxic⁠" Eker's new project, imoRR could be set for the same destination.

imoRR enters free agency

A hybrid AWP-rifle player with a highly aggressive playstyle, imoRR boasted a 35.7% opening attempt rate during his time with Sangal, as well as a 1.33 entry rating. However, he wasn't a permanent fixture in the team's active lineup, taking a place on the bench from time to time as the Turkish team experimented with a six-man lineup in 2021.

"Ömer (imoRR) was one of the most important parts of our team, it was nice to know him and work with him. I would like to thank him for his efforts in our team and wish him success in his future career," the team's coach and manager Canpolat "⁠hardstyle⁠" Yıldıran said in a statement.

Sangal, who are ranked No. 56 in the world and have a spot in the upcoming season of ESEA Premier, are now down to four players. Earlier in the month, 21-year-old Eneshan "⁠eneshan⁠" Tez has joined the team's ESEA roster and could slot in as a replacement for the outgoing imoRR.
