Eternal Fire defeat Sangal to qualify for TWR Eastern European Masters Fall

The Turkish superteam didn’t lose a single match on their way to victory at the ESA Supremes Vestel Cup.

Eternal Fire have cleared the ESA Superemes Vestel Cup gauntlet in their first showing as a team with a clean record to secure a spot in the upcoming TWR Eastern European Masters Fall 2021 - BLAST Premier Qualifier, which will have one spot at the BLAST Premier Fall Showdown up for grabs.

The newly minted superteam, who came together officially on August 13, didn’t fret in their first two matches of the Turkish tournament, cleanly taking out Istanbul Wildcats and Sahangiller before going up against Sangal in the upper bracket final, where they lost a map for the first time but still managed to beat Engin "⁠MAJ3R⁠" Küpeli and his men to secure a spot in the grand final.

XANTARES showed fine form in the final with a 1.82 rating

Sangal bounced back to face Eternal Fire in the grand final after defeating Sahangiller in the consolidation final, although dragging along a map deficit from the lower bracket. The series started on Ahmet "⁠paz⁠" Karahoca and company’s first pick, Inferno, and they were able to win the first half 8-7 on the terrorist side, but their defense was full of holes and Ismailcan "⁠XANTARES⁠" Dörtkardeş exploited them expertly as he led his team to a 16-11 victory with a 2.03 rating in the map.

Eternal Fire then flexed their firepower on the attacking side of Dust2, with XANTARES and Issa "⁠ISSAA⁠" Murad paving the way to a 10-5 lead. Sangal in turn secured the second pistol round, but even then were unable to follow it up as Özgür "⁠woxic⁠" Eker and his teammates brought it home on the CT side, cruising to a 16-7 finish to close out the series 3-0.

Eternal Fire will join the likes of Entropiq Prague, NOM and AIRLYA at TWR Eastern European Masters Fall 2021 on September 10-12, as well as the winners of three more qualifiers in Bulgaria, Romania and Hungary, plus one invited team.

i understand your frustration and honestly , i get what you are saying. It kinda defeats the whole purpose of a country specific superteam if you dont comm in that native language BUT the team should be given some time here. I believe ISSA is serious about learning Turkish and knowing Xantares and how BIG turned out for him , i`m sure he dont wanna be in an English comm team again so they know what they are doing and have that cleared with ISSA too. Best case is ISSA actually gets good enough at it that they start comming in Turkish , Worst case is that ISSA gets cut after 3 months cause no Turkish and they hire some Turk youngling. There`s potential in this lineup , and English comms arent gonna be an issue for now since 4 of these guys played in Intl teams in their last rosters.

well they did actually tried to get paz and xfloud . but one wanted to bring Hardstyle with him that Xantares said no to and Xfloud had a big payout with the Gorrilaz org (he got cucked though) according to reports. They did tried getting a full Turk squad but stars didnt align. i do hope the Jordanian turns into a Turkish guy, i like this team alot.
