OG remain undefeated to finish EPL Group B on top

Aleksi "⁠Aleksib⁠" Virolainen's team will skip one round of the playoffs after securing the first spot in their group.

Slow starts to both maps didn't stop OG from sweeping Complexity in the most important match of the final day of ESL Pro League S14 Group B.

Benjamin "⁠blameF⁠" Bremer's team had a chance to top the group with a convincing victory, but it was OG that went 5-0 in the end with a 16-13 on Mirage and 16-12 on Nuke, as Mateusz "⁠mantuu⁠" Wilczewski put up a clinical performance.

OG start the playoffs in the quarter-finals

Going up 9-4 early on Mirage, it seemed like Complexity was set to complicate things in the group which looked OG's for the taking. However, Aleksib and co. cracked open the B bombsite defense to end the half just three rounds behind, and quickly got ahead with a strong CT start. blameF's heroics kept the score close, but OG pulled it across the line at the end

Nuke followed a similar pattern, Complexity went up 6-0, this time on the offense, only for OG to bring it back to a 7-8 half with mantuu posting 21K-8D. The Pole continued his tear as his team flipped to the offense, finishing the map with a 1.85 rating as they completed a 16-12 comeback.

The other two matches had no bearings on the final standings of the group. However, G2 had pride on the line as they took on Virtus.pro in hopes of securing their first win at the event, but to no avail. Dzhami "⁠Jame⁠" Ali's team took the series in three in another disappointing performance from the French-Balkan squad.

To close things out, FORZE edged out SINNERS in a tight affair. A 1.54-rated showing from Tomáš "⁠oskar⁠" Šťastný secured the Czech side their map pick, but FORZE stole away the win with overtime victories on Mirage and Ancient.
