NAVI release "s1mple formula" documentary

Celebrating a five-year anniversary since signing Oleksandr "⁠s1mple⁠" Kostyliev, NAVI released a two-hour documentary about the superstar's career.

Called "s1mple formula," the documentary details the Ukrainian's entire CS:GO career dating from 2013, when he first appeared on the CIS scene with a mixture of relatively unknown players at the time and began to make his name, to present day as he is entering his sixth year with Natus Vincere.

In the nearly two-hour video, many of the players s1mple has been in teams with talked about their time and experiences with the 23-year-old, both good and bad, including his now coach Andrey "⁠B1ad3⁠" Gorodenskiy, Liquid teammate Spencer "⁠Hiko⁠" Martin, and Kyrylo "⁠ANGE1⁠" Karasiow, among others.

The documentary also features comments from s1mple's family members as well as various community figures, such as Matthew "⁠Sadokist⁠" Trivett and Duncan "⁠Thorin⁠" Shields, and one of his biggest individual rivals, Nicolai "⁠device⁠" Reedtz, discussing important moments in the Ukrainian's successful career.

"s1mple formula" is available in two versions, one dubbed by Tres "⁠stunna⁠" Saranthus in English and the other in Russian. You can watch the English version below:

Stunna is not a voiceover artist, so its understandable his timing is a bit off. Also a sub may be more common than dub in the western world, while its completely the opposite in CIS, so Navi probably didn't take it into account. Meanwhile russian dub of foreign guests is done by a pro and is real nice. Yeah, I just watched both versions cause i have nothing better to do)

One downside of a players documentary being created by an organisation is that they will hype themselves up like the shill at the beginning who says he associates s1mple with consistency, the drive to win and at last "navi since he has carried them for 5 years now" In reality we will look back and lament at the time he wasted with trash lineups and not once did he ever win a major with navi and one of his regrets will be that he didnt make the team he wanted and instead let the org make roster decisions as he got a $contract
