Three lineups to try in BLAST Premier Fall Groups Fantasy game

Twelve teams full of players to choose from for the Fantasy game.

Kicking off on September 16, BLAST Premier will start its Fall season with twelve member teams facing off in three GSL groups. The top two placing teams from each group will advance to the Fall Finals in November, while the other six teams will move on to the Fall Showdown. Play in the HLTV official Fantasy league to get a chance to win prizes sponsored by BitSkins as well as points on the HLTV Fall Fantasy leaderboard.

The returning Xyp9x could be a good pick

Some important storylines coming into the BLAST Fall Groups come in both Complexity and MIBR, who will both be using new lineups during the event. COL will be debuting Marcelo "⁠coldzera⁠" David as a long-term stand-in for Kristian "⁠k0nfig⁠" Wienecke, and it may be enticing to pick the Brazilian star for his history of excellence. It should be noted, however, that coldzera has not played any official matches since May, and will be competing with entirely new teammates.

On the MIBR side, Ricardo "⁠boltz⁠" Prass will not be attending the event while he recovers from the coronavirus, and the team will instead use academy player Breno "⁠brnz4n⁠" Poletto. As a result, picking any player from MIBR might not pan out for the best, even if the stat-cost ratio looks relatively good, like in the case of Gustavo "⁠yel⁠" Knittel.

Some other potentially bad picks would be Philip "⁠Lucky⁠" Ewald, who sports a 0.95 rating in the past three months but costs $214,000, Jonathan "⁠EliGE⁠" Jablonowski, who costs $220,000 for a 1.08 rating, and even Nemanja "⁠huNter-⁠" Kovač, with a cost of $215,000 and a 1.05 rating.

Based on how their teams performed at ESL Pro League Season 14, players from Vitality and OG are ripe for the picking, with Mateusz "⁠mantuu⁠" Wilczewski and Jayson "⁠Kyojin⁠" Nguyen Van at quite reasonable $225,000 and $182,000 price points, respectively. A player from Natus Vincere would also be quite reliable, even if they run on the more expensive side due to the team's exceptional form.

The two players that I would recommend the most for this Fantasy game would be Andreas "⁠Xyp9x⁠" Højsleth and Kévin "⁠misutaaa⁠" Rabier, who both feature very low prices compared to the ratings they have posted in the past three months. Both Astralis and Vitality are in Group A, and have decent chances to advance to the Finals, particularly with the group also featuring Evil Geniuses.

Some other players to consider for your team would be Mathieu "⁠ZywOo⁠" Herbaut, who is only 0.05 rating behind Oleksandr "⁠s1mple⁠" Kostyliev, but costs $12,000 less, Benjamin "⁠blameF⁠" Bremer, sitting at a quite reasonable $221,000 for his 1.20 rating, and Damian "⁠daps⁠" Steele who can be picked for only $144,000.
