Fessor joins Astralis Talent

The 20-year old will fill the spot left by the benching of Mads "⁠vester⁠" Vestergaard in the squad.

Astralis Talent have announced the signing of Frederik "⁠Fessor⁠" Sørensen ahead of their clash against MASONIC in the Power Liga.

The young rifler has joined the squad only five days after the benching of vester following the team's poor performances at WePlay Academy League Season 2 and the DreamHack Open November 2021 qualifiers.

Fessor's most recent team was South

Fessor most recently played alongside Danish veterans Mathias "⁠MSL⁠" Lauridsen and Philip "⁠aizy⁠" Aistrup on both HYENAS and the short-lived South project.

"Frederik understands and embraces the journey and the level of work needed to get to the finish line, which makes him the perfect fit for our next steps to be taken," explained Dennis "⁠vnG⁠" Vang, Head of Counter-Strike Talent for Astralis.

"We have build a foundation and now the aim is to to take it to the next level, with a stronger set-up, which we'll tell more about in due time," he added.

downgrade teamwise but now he gets to showcase himself outside of fpl regularly in a streamed league until a tier 2 team decides to take a chance on him or he gets promoted to the main roster. Win win imo

the weplay academy league is a real good stage to showcase your talents as a youngster, if he plays really good he will find his way into a tier 2 team in no time and if hes rthe real deal he might get a shot at replacing one of the guys running out of contract in the main roster

People don't seem to really get why this is a good move. Taking a step backwards, to at least get to play in a team environment, while he grinds FPL. With the people behind Astralis this will hopefully help build a foundation so that he can move to t2-3 in the not so far future.

He's not a talent. He is already capable of playing at a high level but he lacks on discipline and team work. He joined and left more teams than anyone else. He has personal problems which needs to get fixed before he can be a valuable asset for a top team. I hope Astralis can teach him that. More important, i hope he is patient enough to teach. ♥️
