The coach's exit hints at sweeping changes in the team.

Sprout have announced their second roster change within a week, parting ways with coach Niclas "⁠enkay J⁠" Krumhorn two days after Marko "⁠kressy⁠" Đorđević left the lineup.

enkay J has been the team's coach since August of 2019, replacing Tobias "⁠tow b⁠" Herberhold who went on to join domestic rivals BIG, to whom Sprout lost Nils "⁠k1to⁠" Gruhne and Florian "⁠syrsoN⁠" Rische shortly after. The 32-year-old coached all-German and mixed-nationality rosters that Sprout fielded during his tenure and is now looking for a new coaching opportunity.

enkay J is looking for a new head coach position

"I have had such an amazing time filled with plenty of beautiful ups, but unfortunately also many heartbreaking downs," enkay J wrote about departing the team in on TwitLonger. "I have so many great memories, with a lot of different people, that I will never forget. Thank you."

During his tenure in the team, enkay J worked with some of the most experienced domestic players as well as international talent such as Tomáš "⁠oskar⁠" Šťastný and Paweł "⁠dycha⁠" Dycha. Prior to his gig with Sprout, enkay J coached Alternate aTTaX and worked as an analyst for top organizations such as MOUZ, G2, and Envy.

The German tactician is currently evaluating his options but stressed that that CS:GO "means the world" to him and that he wants to continue working as a head coach. "If you are looking for a very dedicated and responsible coach with a lot of experience under his belt, who is going to be the hardest working guy in the room, feel free to send me a DM."

"His efforts are treated with great respect and we wish him all the best for his future," Sprout said about the departure which leaves them two people short. The organization has already signaled that they want to return to an international path by signing Dane Rasmus "⁠raalz⁠" Steensborg in August, and are now considering signing a CIS player according to Russian insider Aleksei "⁠OverDrive⁠" Birukov.

There were leaks that slaxz also leaves. My guess is: Raalz faveN kyuubii (maybe they want to give him a shot as he is their "development" Player Deko (cis player and AWPer if I'm not mistaken) Experienced igl like MSL Berry

Nah. I mean, they have players like Krimbo, Panix and Stfn that they could sign if they want to go back to German in 6 months or whatever, but, i think they might stick to international players. Lets wait and see.

theyve been there before a bad national team will probably make more money in merch sales than a bad international team if they wont have success with their next international team i can definitely see them return to a german roster but for now it looks like they go for CIS players, i heard they wanna go for flamie

Good moves Sprout, if you really want to go full international but with German core I think it will be much better to have coach from the outside, also enkay J with all the respect doesn't seem like the best coach available, GL moving forward though!
