Four individuals are no longer part of the organization as they pursue a new career in VALORANT.

Engin "⁠MAJ3R⁠" Küpeli, Ahmet "⁠paz⁠" Karahoca, Engin "⁠ngiN⁠" Kor, and Canpolat "⁠hardstyle⁠" Yıldıran have all been released by Sangal as the quartet looks for a new start in VALORANT, the organization has announced.

The core had represented Sangal since the organization's acquisition of the Turkey5 roster in April 2020. The squad's most notable achievements include a title win at ESL Turkey Championship Summer 2020 Finals, as well as a first place finish in ESEA Advanced Season 35 Europe.

Sangal acquired the Turkey5 roster in April 2020

Despite their results, Sangal did not manage to break into the top echelons of European Counter-Strike, only briefly holding the #35 spot in the world rankings.

"Every good thing has an end," the organization announced on Twitter. "Today, we are parting ways with our CS:GO team as they want to continue their careers in VALORANT. We would like to thank our team for being a part of the Sangal family and wish them success in their future careers."

As it stands, both Caner "⁠soulfly⁠" Kesici and Efekan "⁠S3NSEY⁠" Topaloglu remain under contract with the organization. soulfly only joined last September after the team parted ways with Ömer "⁠imoRR⁠" Karataş while S3NSEY has been with roster since April.

Sangal are left with only:

Efekan "⁠S3NSEY⁠" Topaloglu
Caner "⁠soulfly⁠" Kesici

Why because an irrelevant Turkish team left? The 2 best regions are still in cs fully and eventually the others will come back when orgs see that lans are back and having a team can be profitable, like it was for cph flames for example.

Yeah, maybe cloud 9 will make an na team, and other orgs i dont know, but whit lans they will come back, i would live to see an major whit 32 teams, and it would make a difference whit iem's katowice and cologne and also epl's.

Well, depends how you see it. Will CS die within the next 3 years? No. Is it going to be harder for a team to make a foothold with decent organisations? Most likely. The pandemic took a toll on everything, and Valve do make some stupid decisions. But in itself is that not going to matter in the long run as the game got way too much backing.

Are you actually crazy and suggesting that the CSGO pro scene will die within a year? And who is going to topple that? Overwatch and Valorant - games with no viewers? The viewer numbers may be down due to the pandemic (which affects all esports equally), but the scene is as healthy as ever. For the first time ever, literally anyone could secure this major. CIS has only recently seen a surge of teams, and even some asian teams are migrating over to europe to compete. It IS a problem that you practically HAVE to been in europe to play this game professionally, but that doesn't mean that the game is dead by any measure

It's unfortunate because the cartoon game actually supports those run down scenes. In Greece, CS is way more popular for people to play, but there isn't a single greek pro while there are valorant pros because Riot supports the existence of a greek leagues thus enabling a scene to grow

well it doesn't matter, what matters for them is that in valorant = you can join a trash team, get paid and don't worry about your position, while in CS = get in fpl or fpl-c and have to get noticed by a good team. It's kinda like NA, where the ones who stay in CS are the ones who enjoy the game and are "loyal" to it

yeah esl are the ones responsible for saving the local scenes at this point, although I don't think they can attract as many sponsors as the lower leagues in valorant

Imagine that you are a CS pro, you are invested into the game, you know 9999 smokes lineups, your aim is crip and clean because you have spent thousands of hours playing CS. I hope that CS do something about this, thats how the CS ecosystem will collapse first the washed up players will switch as we already saw it then smaller teams, then players who have no hope to succeed in cs switched too, and know we see these smaller scenes leaving too worrying trend, a lot of people wont care and say its another trash team disbanding but there is a lot of players from Turkey who followed this team and maybe they will switch too and it may cause a domino effect.
