Endpoint bench Thomas

The 23-year-old and the team decided to part company just two months after he signed a two-year extension.

Thomas "⁠Thomas⁠" Utting has been benched in Endpoint following a mutual decision to part ways. The 23-year-old will be looking to find a new home after just six months with the British organization.

The move comes after Endpoint hit their lowest ranking in nearly two years, currently sitting at 56th following an unsuccessful run in ESEA Premier Season 38 and relegation to ESEA Advanced for the upcoming season.

Thomas is looking for a new home

"Thanks for the good time we had, Endpoint," Thomas said in a statement. "After 6 months, I'm benched and allowed to explore new options. Time to look for a new family to start the next chapter of my career. Ready to give everything to make this happen!"

It comes as a surprise to see the Brit leave the active lineup, as only two months ago, Thomas extended his contract with the organization for two years, becoming one of their "legacy members" alongside Max "⁠MiGHTYMAX⁠" Heath, Joey "⁠CRUC1AL⁠" Steusel, and Kia "⁠Surreal⁠" Man, which made him eligible to receive a cut of a buyout fee should any of his teammates be sold.

With those deals, the organization hoped to improve player retention after they sold Shahar "⁠flameZ⁠" Shushan off to OG in April and William "⁠mezii⁠" Merriman to fnatic in August.

Endpoint are now down to the following quartet:

Surprising decision tbh., just 2 months ago he became the legacy member, and he seems to perform really good actually, I expected Endpoint to make some kind of roster adjustments as their recent performance hasn't been as good as expected, but this is actually a really surprising move. I would rather see MiGHTYMAX and Surreal benched, they seem like the most unstable part of their roster tbh. Really weird. I think it's a mistake from Endpoint to make this change happen. Maybe they should try jks in his place? I think it would be interesting to see jks get to perform in a team like this, would be really cool to also see someone more experienced on the higher level join the team.
