MAD Lions, forZe round out DreamHack Open November playoffs

Upsets saw MOUZ and ENCE knocked out in the final group stage matches.

MAD Lions and FORZE made it through the final day of group stage play at DreamHack Open November to assure their passage to the playoffs, where they will meat up with BIG and fnatic, while leaving MOUZ and ENCE out in the cold.

MOUZ started out the tournament showing shaky form with a 1-2 loss against MAD Lions in their opener before bouncing back to fend off elimination on the second day of play against GamerLegion.

forZe will face BIG in the tournament's semi-finals

This time around it looked like MOUZ were poised to throw their weight around taking an ample 11-4 lead on the CT side of Dust2 despite losing the pistol round, but MAD Lions didn’t back down with Pere "sausol" Solsona Saumell and Justinas "jL" Lekavicius leading the way to a 16-13 victory.

Despite dropping the first map, MOUZ now had their map pick of Nuke to look forward to, but the Thomas "TMB" Bundsbæk-led squad put up a wall on the CT side, winning 12 rounds by the end of the first half to coast to victory on the attack as Volodymyr "Woro2k" Veletniuk topped the scoreboard with a 1.54 rating in the second map to culminate the series sweep.

The second series featured ENCE, who come from finishing in 15-16th place at the PGL Stockholm Major’s and were blindsided by fnatic in the tournament’s Group B winners match, facing off against FORZE for the final spot in the playoffs.

Marco "Snappi" Pfeiffer and his men didn’t take long to show their pedigree, putting forth a strong CT side on Nuke, winning it 13-2, before going on to cruise to a 16-7 victory with Lotan "Spinx" Giladi topping the board for the international squad.

FORZE found a groove on the CT side of Nuke to try and bring things back despite it being Olek "hades" Miskiewicz and company’s map pick, going up 11-4 at the half. The Russian squad secured the all-important second pistol round to clear the path for a third map.

The CT dominance continued on Mirage, where it was Andrey "Jerry" Mekhryakov and his men who went up 7-0 before ENCE tried to rein things in albeit momentarily as FORZE hit double digits by the half before closing things out on the attack, 16-10.

They were always struggling vs random t2 teams. They already have a spot in epl so this tournament was nothing important. Iem fall should be better because its actually a tournament with t1 teams who dont play random and actually have some system to how they play

MOUZ not feeling good in the past few months. Roster isnt nothing special on my opinion. Altough playing with stand in, things still the same. Losing badly.

Spinx and Hades should go, Ence needs a trader with multifrag potential and awper who can clutch.

I agree about hades ' but spinx has the highest rating out of all ENCE + he's their most consistant player

His rating is missleading same with Doto. Doto next to Dycha is their best player. Spinx got easy trading role, and its a must for those kind of players to deliver multifrags(cause of bait setups) or clutch. He lacks both. Meanwhile their lowest rated Doto when having a good round is clutching or holding sites which means winning rounds, not stat padding. Nobody gives a damn about him, every body are just "bUt RaTiNG "

? Spinx and hades? Spinx has been easily their best player for months. Hades was really good until iem fall and since he has fallen into a slump. And this tournament meant pretty much bothibg for ence except maybe a couple esl pro tour points. Ence already have a spot in epl so why try to get a epl conference spot.

Like i said many times before, he is their best player only ratingwise, and thats not hard being a trader. Watch their games for a change try to understand what roles do they have what gameplan. Hltv rating is just food for greenhorns.

well true but he does also have games where he runs around and gets 30+ kills like on overpass vs fnatic. spinx was ences only player performing and he was doing it all himself

Rarely, but that doesnt matter much, he needs to get consistent multifrraging while on bait setup and some clutches while on t side. For now most of his rating gets buffed from meaningless frags or only economy in check frags.

That just shows Major qualification system’s shortcomings. CIS having less spots due to previous major’s amount of cis teams, making forze miss out. ENCE are either inconsistent, or just fluked IEM Fall (Challengers stage was ezaf) MOUZ is hopeless, just had a few important wins on RMRs when either ropz or frozen/bymas had a good day

Mouz is hopeless but ence nah. Ik im a fan of ence but still if you look at their tournaments with t2 teams vs tournaments with t1 teams they always succeed better at the ones with t1 teams. Forze play really random cs because of 2 new players and a coach and fnatic relatively new team with smooya and overpass isnt ences best map

I quite like Ence myself, but looking at their recent games - IEM Fall was a good run, but other than that, they won t2 teams at IEM winter quals, hopeless MOUZ, inconsistent BIG (can both win strong opponents and lose to t2) and GODSENT at PGL Challengers’ Stage. No wins against solid t1 teams. Edit: okay BIG are fine

yeah true but i would say that they 100% should and would have won vs faze but karrigan was just insane during that match and like 90% of the teams that play t1 and t2 tournaments have the same problem, its like a 50/50 if they win or lose
