flusha leaves GORILLAZ *

The 28-year-old is looking for new opportunities in the coming year.

* UPDATE: When contacting HLTV.org, Jesper "⁠JW⁠" Wecksell explained that he is only a temporary stand-in for the Elisa Invitational Fall event, and doesn't have plans to play with GORILLAZ in 2022.

Veteran Swede Robin "⁠flusha⁠" Rönnquist is set to look for a new team in 2022, leaving the GORILLAZ project he co-founded back in April, the player announced on Monday. The remaining players from GORILLAZ are set to continue together, but who would replace flusha as in-game leader is not yet known.

Originally started with a core of flusha, Miikka "⁠suNny⁠" Kemppi, and Jere "⁠sergej⁠" Salo, GORILLAZ had competed in many tournaments throughout 2021 and cycled through many different players but could never find success at a tier-one level.

The project marked the first time that flusha had committed to being an in-game leader full-time, but moving forward it isn't a role he will prioritize. When asked by HLTV.org, the 28-year-old stated that he wouldn't make being an IGL his first choice but would be open to it in the right scenario.

Despite the name never being revealed, the team has been backed by an organization since its formation. flusha remains contracted to the organization until 2023 while he looks for new opportunities elsewhere.

No. You get best out of zehn if he can play his most comfortable role as second caller, putting him into the IGL spot would be like putting sergej awp, ok it may look good sometimes but you're wasting sergej talent on rifling. Best option would be remove xseven from your original posted roster and add jimpphat and make him IGL, he so young so he is still capable of adjusting into different roles and adapting. Then make xseven maybe the coach

they were in a couple of ESL Poland/regional finals this year. I wouldn't say "never found any success" or "slowly fade away". They are definitely not tier 1 but they have success in the lower tiers. Being washed up is like in gorillaz barely doing anything even considered an achievement
