WePlay Academy League to boast two new organizations in season 3

The upcoming season of the Academy League will take place from early January to mid-February and feature several changes.

WePlay has announced the details of the next Academy League season. The tournament designed for young up-and-coming players will kick off on January 3 and boast two new organizations, Spirit Academy and Eternal Fire Academy.

As a result of the league now featuring 10 teams, the format will change compared to the previous season's group stage, which was run in a double-elimination system. For season 3, the teams have been distributed into two round-robin groups.

MOUZ NXT look to go three in three after winning the first two seasons

Two-time champions MOUZ NXT, who are rumored to lose some of their players amid changes to the main MOUZ squad, have been placed in Group B alongside the two newest additions to the league as well as two teams who have yet to make it to the finals after two seasons, VP.Prodigy and FURIA Academy.

Group A features the other three season 2 finalists, NAVI Junior, Young Ninjas, BIG Academy, as well as Astralis Talent and season 1 finalists fnatic Rising.

The top team from each group will earn a direct ticket to the seasonal playoffs, which will once again take place at the WePlay Esports Arena in Kyiv, on February 11-13. The remainder will play in a so-called "Gauntlet stage" for the other two spots at the finals in the Ukrainian capital.

I wonder how Envyus academy would do in this kind of league back in the days...they were one of the first academy team if not the first, and they had some good players (they had some old players so idk if they could've compete)

saw was a mire name for the team, but the org saw was created like a year ago... and they are a very good org... not only on cs (the results are not the best but for the pt scene... they were top 21 itw, they qualified for blast, rmr... and the youngsters team defeated astralis talent and it´s better than 80% teams that are in the tournament)

They are trying to develop Turkish CS altogether because most of lower level Turkish pros switched to valorant. Also it's smart to have competition for spots in your roster.
