chawzyyy revealed as Apeks' fourth player

Earmarked by the organization as a star in the making, the 16-year-old Swede will be given the freedom to grow.

Apeks have announced former Savage member Hugo "⁠chawzyyy⁠" Günther as the fourth player of their new team. He will be joining Asger "⁠AcilioN⁠" Larsen, Tim "⁠nawwk⁠" Jonasson, and Joakim "⁠jkaem⁠" Myrbostad on the roster, along with the final member who will be announced later.

At just 16 years of age, the Swedish youngster has impressed on the lower-tier scene over the past year after joining Galaxy Racer. As a rifler at first and later a primary AWPer, he showcased his talent throughout 2021 as he averaged a 1.12 rating in his first full year on the international scene.

Apeks' Head of Esports, Anders Kjær, has stated that chawzyyy will be given "the room to become a great player," stressing that he will not be locked into positions on the extremities and instead have "the space and freedom to define his own playstyle."

"Change and development always come from the young," Kjær said. "We must allow them to think differently, and even though Hugo has a lot to learn from the more experienced players, the others need to learn from him as well and allow new perspectives."

"It feels good to sign with Apeks because I know I'm gonna get the right tools to become better as a player," chawzyyy added. "We have all the chances to improve as a team as well, which I think is very important in order to become the best. This is the first time I will play for an organization with bootcamps and a lot of structure so I am really excited."

Sergej was a frag star during ENCE's meteoric rise during the first major of 2019. He then went to the army and joined GORILLAZ with flusha. Not his fault ENCE was gutted after Katowice when they kicked AleksiB. He hasn't been on another team since, except GORILLAZ which is an Old Man's Club european remix

The problem is 2 Swedes speaking Swedish then having 1 Dane and 1 Norwegian understanding it. Then for the Norwegian to speak Norwegian and the Swedes and Dane to understand that etc etc with the Dane. This sound completely fucked right? It is. The smallest issue would be Jkaem understanding the Swedes cuz Norwegians are great at understanding and speaking Swedish. But its fkt regardless and its not happening. For all to speak English is 10 times easier.

Chawzyyy (to my knowledge) has always been a rifler. He just picked up the AWP last 6 months in GXR since their main awper got kicked and nobody else wanted it. Known about him since he was 13 (played in a team with my brother, a few went on to play in Swedish T2). Ever since he was around 14-15 he played together with JoelXD who was primary awper, and they were both picked up as a duo to play internationally with GXR. So during all of his "formative" years in CS he was a rifler at least.
