ESL Pro League Season 15 groups revealed

The 24 teams have been divided into four groups of six teams each.

The first ESL Pro League of 2022 will take place between March 9 and April 10, and has been tentatively scheduled to run as a LAN on the island nation of Malta, where it was supposed to take place during the past two years but had to be moved online due to the coronavirus pandemic.

The 15th edition of ESL's flagship league will feature 24 teams, including all of the top 14 in the HLTV ranking, that have already been divided into four different groups of six with the top three moving on to the playoffs.

NAVI will be defending their ESL Pro League title

The first group, Group A, with the likes of G2, Ninjas in Pyjamas and fnatic, will kick off the event on March 9-13. Group B, where the international squads of Vitality and FaZe have been drawn, will follow on March 16-20.

Group C, headlined by the world's second best team, Gambit, alongside the new-look Liquid will continue on March 23-27 before Group D, where reigning champions Natus Vincere have been drawn alongside the Danes of HEROIC and Astralis, will conclude the group stage on March 30-April 3.

From there on out the second and third best teams of each group will play in the playoffs' Round of 12 before moving on to the quarter-finals, where the top team of each group will be waiting ahead of the semi-finals and the best-of-five grand final, which will wrap up the event on April 10th when a champion is crowned.

For me, Group A is more stacked than D. If you compare all teams and not NAVI + HEROIC, Astralis can lose to almost everyone in group A, except lookingfororg. There are more upsets potential in A, because the level is pretty similar. It is stacked of t2 team though instead of a weird balance of t1 and t3 teams.

no, l only gave examples of esea challengers teams because of my point, anyway flames almost got the majors playoff, skade is one of the best tier2/3 teams, ecstatic did well in t1 tournament recently, wisla is playing very well recently. lfo, ago, sprout and american teams are playing awfully and have mediocre line up, so its a improve , not the same level

How come these groups aren't very diverse? All of the NA teams are split between Groups C and D. Also, the European international teams are split between Groups A and B. I get that this was done via random drawing, or so I would imagine, but that's just bad drawing lol.
