Teams announced for Pinnacle Winter Series 2

K23, FORZE and Eternal Fire headline the team list for the February edition of the event.

The majority of the team list has been announced for Pinnacle Winter Series II, which will take place February 7-23. As the next event in the Champion of Champions tour a place at LAN Sweet LAN 2022 goes to the winner, as well as the lion's share of a $68,000 prize pool.

The format for the event will follow the previous Pinnacle Winter Series with 16 teams participating in the Swiss best-of-three regionals, with the top eight from this stage qualifying for the main event. There they will join eight directly invited teams for another Swiss best-of-three group stage, which will leave us with eight teams to fight it out in the single elimination best-of-three playoffs.

Four direct invites to the playoffs will be announced at a later date.

Spirit, 00NATION and MAD Lions will be the focus of the Regional invites, with all three debuting highly anticipated new rosters at this event. K23 are the pick of the main event invites, coming into this tournament as winners of the previous iteration as well as the highest ranked team, but many eyes will be on the new Apeks roster who finished second to K23 in Series I and have impressed since coming together.

Yeah dunno why they benched chopper at the beginning. s1ren is kind of interesting choice ngl since I thought Spirit were gonna go for either lollipop or Aunkere. Maybe players are on the same wavelength and the chemistry is on point, who knows. It'll come out in the wash.

Although K23 won the winter series 1, why they are getting invites for the second event. As I know they won series 1 and got the spot for LAN Sweet LAN 2022.
