Party Astronauts add viz, set to use ptr for ESL Pro League

Wesley "⁠viz⁠" Harris returns to the squad after four months away.

To fill the void left by David "⁠cynic⁠" Polster's abrupt departure, Party Astronauts have re-added viz to the lineup, the team announced on Tuesday. The 20-year-old originally stepped down from the roster in August 2021, and later linked up with Triumph.

However, as viz will not have a passport in time to travel to ESL Pro League, North American veteran Peter "⁠ptr⁠" Gurney will return to competition to stand-in for the team during the event in Germany.

viz will be a party astronaut once again

Party Astronauts were put into a tight spot regarding their lineup following the untimely departure of cynic due to internal issues in the team as the roster lock for ESL Pro League Season 15 was only days away. viz initially stood in for the squad during Mythic Winter Series 2022 Cup 2, where the team emerged victorious, but the decision to bring him on full-time only came about after the event.

While on Triumph, the 20-year-old competed at IEM Fall North America, at which the team infamously were issued a forfeit loss against Evil Geniuses. viz also made the playoffs of ESEA Premier Season 39, losing to Party Astronauts and Bad News Bears.
