G2's in-game leader will hope to bring the team back up from a poor start to the group.

Aleksi "⁠Aleksib⁠" Virolainen has been allowed to join the rest of G2 in Düsseldorf after producing a negative COVID test and is set to play the rest of the tournament, the organization has announced.

The team had played with François "⁠amanek⁠" Delaunay as a stand-in in their first three matches and struggled to live up to their status of one of the favorites, with their only win coming against Looking For Org as they suffered losses to MOUZ and a fnatic team playing with three stand-ins.

Aleksib returns as G2 hope to recover from a disappointing start

The team returns to full force ahead of day four as they'll look to recover from the disappointing start, first facing Entropiq on Saturday at 19:00 before the play the final match of the group against currently undefeated Ninjas in Pyjamas on Sunday at 19:30 .

With a 1-2 record so far and sitting in fifth place for the time being, G2 will likely need to win both matches in order to be in contention for a playoffs spot.

It def was not worse but after their performances against Fnatic and Mouz, i don't think there is 1 player out there that could change how bad G2 looked. I don't understand what their problem is but its going to take some time to work out because it was that bad. Very confusing

yeah amanek used to be god of timings with old G2 before he was relegated to an awp. Seems like he took a break and it hurt his meta sense, his timings were mostly off. With a bit of time I have no doubts that he can indeed do it but I don't feel like he was ready to play here.

? Are you purposefully making shit up? No one's said this is something you should be scared of for your entire life. For the time being though it's been shown that vaccines decrease the risk of being hospitalized from the disease which is more than enough reason to stop being a fucking idiot and get vaccinated. Just because a survival rate is high, doesn't mean it won't cause any permanent symptoms e.g. lung deterioration etc.
