Renegades qualify for Antwerp Major at the expense of TYLOO
The Australians were the second team to qualify from the Asia RMR, with TYLOO missing out on the Major.
With IHC surprisingly managing to secure the first spot at the PGL Major Antwerp, the two favorites of TYLOO and Renegades were forced to go head-to-head for the second and final spot from the Asian RMR.
Renegades were able to dispatch of the Chinese side in two maps, starting off with a 16-5 win on Inferno, then winning their map pick of Vertigo 22-20 after an incredible comeback.

The series started off on TYLOO's pick of Inferno, where the Hansel "BnTeT" Ferdinand-led team struggled to get rounds on the board, bar the first moments of the game. After winning the pistol, Renegades were able to win the forcebuy, but the Chinese team quickly fought back with three rounds of their own, taking the lead with a 4-3 scoreline.
After that however, Renegades were able to win 13 out of the remaining 14 rounds, with the TYLOO team looking outmatched by their Australian counterparts as the map finished 16-5 in favor of Renegades.

The next map of the series took us to Vertigo, where TYLOO were able to find much more success, starting on the CT side and amassing an incredible 13 rounds at the half, with every individual on the Chinese side contributing with several multikills, enabling them to lock out the Renegades T side.
But once the sides switched, Renegades looked like a completely different team. They won the pistol and then won an incredible 12 rounds in a row, with Jay "Liazz" Tregillgas looking insurmountable at the B site. Alistair "aliStair" Johnston also looked great on the AWP, even winning a 1v1 clutch against YuanZhang "Attacker" Sheng at the very start of the incredible comeback.
The Aussies tied up the scoreline at 13-13, with a 2v3 retake on the B site following a huge mistake by TYLOO. It took Zhenghao "DANK1NG" Lv's clutch round to finally get his team on the board on the T side, tying the score at 14-14 once again. Next round it was Simon "Sico" Williams's time to clutch, winning another 1v2 and defusing the bomb, getting his team up to 15 rounds. TYLOO were facing elimination, and it was once again Zhenghao "DANK1NG" Lv who saved them with another clutch round to get them to overtime.
In overtime, the scrappy nature of the game continued as the teams traded blows, with neither being able to close out the map in the first overtime. Renegades managed to close out the map eventually, winning 22-20 in the second overtime and qualifying for the Major.
