emi joins Coalesce

The Serbian player will take over in-game leadership in the European team.

Coalesce have announced the signing of veteran Luka "⁠emi⁠" Vuković, who will be charged with taking over in-game leadership in the squad following the departure of Thomas "⁠Thomas⁠" Utting in March.

The 28-year-old has had a storied career so far, starting out in regional teams such as iNation and GamePub before breaking out with CR4ZY as the team's coach in 2019 and 2020.

His biggest accolade as CR4ZY's skipper is taking the team to the StarLadder Berlin Major before returning to play on the squad that got a victory at DreamHack Rotterdam 2019 and a second place at DreamHack Open Sevilla 2019.

emi will work in Coalesce's tactical department as IGL

emi continued his playing career in c0ntact, who in 2020 picked up the CR4ZY roster, and was most recently calling for FunPlus Phoenix until the team's dissolution in late 2021 when the Chinese organization departed the CS:GO landscape.

"When Emi told me that his contract with FPX was expiring I had to invite him to join Coalesce, since he is such a great and experienced IGL," coach Mihajlo "⁠Feed⁠" Petrović said about the signing. "Also, I knew Robiin could easily switch to the lurk role since he played it for a long time earlier in his career and he is doing really well in this new role so far.

"I think everyone knows how good of an IGL Emi is and how much experience he has, considering all the things that he has accomplished in his career already.

"So far with him we are improving at a really rapid pace and I am really satisfied with the new roster. I hope that we will show great things in the coming months.

"With all this and more, we know that Emi will be a fantastic addition to the Coalesce line up, and look forward to getting to know him more as part of the team. "
