PGL Major Antwerp 2022 Challengers StageVitality win first match against Astralis since roster changes; MIBR edge out 9z
The French players were the difference-makers in the highlight game of the day.
Vitality and Astralis were drawn to face each other in the 1-0 matches at the PGL Major Antwerp Challengers stage, setting the two sides up for their first clash since the trio of Peter "dupreeh" Rasmussen, Emil "Magisk" Reif, and Danny "zonic" Sørensen made the swap to the French organization. With in-form Mathieu "ZywOo" Herbaut and Kévin "misutaaa" Rabier, Vitality took a confident victory on Mirage, while MIBR clinched a nailbiter win over 9z to avoid going to the 0-2 pool on the second stream.
The match between Vitality and Astralis started off in a back-and-forth nature, a low-buy victory for the Danes getting them on board after a pistol loss before misutaaa chimed in to get his team back on track on what was ultimately a great T side. Ensuring that was a 2v3 victory by ZywOo and Magisk and a 1v2 clutch from ZywOo alone, adding up to a 9-6 half.
The French prodigy continued his tear on CT with a pistol round 3K, pushing his team to the victory in the match and getting Vitality one victory away from advancing to the Legends stage.

In the rematch of game from the Americas RMR, which was won by MIBR in a contested affair, Adriano "WOOD7" Cerato and co. managed a repeat performance, clinching out a 16-14 over their regional rivals.
The game started with a 3-0 lead for 9z, but MIBR won seven out of the following nine as the CT sides held strong. Maximiliano "max" Gonzalez and Franco "dgt" Garcia were center of the action for 9z, but Luca "Luken" Nadotti being subpar resulted in a lack of AWPing presence felt on the CT side. The game nonetheless came down to the wire, with Matheus "Tuurtle" Anhaia's 1v2 at 14-14 securing his side the win.
