The Swedish team is once again forced to use a player from their academy team.

Ninjas in Pyjamas have revealed on Saturday that their IGL Hampus "⁠hampus⁠" Poser is unable to travel to Dallas, Texas due to illness, leaving them to field Erik "⁠ztr⁠" Gustafsson as a substitute at the $250,000 event.

This will mark the academy team captain's temporary return to the main roster after playing 58 maps with Ninjas in Pyjamas in the first half of 2021. This also means that Young Ninjas will have to find replacement for their matches in the recently started WePlay Academy League Season 4.

hampus is just another name on the list of players and whole teams that will miss out on IEM Dallas. First, CIS sides Natus Vincere and Entropiq pulled out due to visa issues, being replaced by BIG and Movistar Riders. ENCE's star Lotan "⁠Spinx⁠" Giladi will not attend the tournament for the same reason, seeing Janusz "⁠Snax⁠" Pogorzelski find his way to a tier one event as a subsitute, that news followed by the information that Martin "⁠trace⁠" Heldt is not able to travel to the event with Astralis following ESTA difficulties.

For Ninjas in Pyjamas, this is yet another hit to the roster's stability. The organization has struggled to field a consistent five-man lineup for over a year, seeing ztr, Linus "⁠LNZ⁠" Holtäng, and Love "⁠phzy⁠" Smidebrant come in and out of the team when difficulties occured.

Talking about the lineup that played the PGL Antwerp Major, hampus commented that this is the one that he wants to move forward with. However, the caller himself is the one that will miss out on the action this time around.
