To celebrate Benjamin "⁠blameF⁠" Bremer's efforts at the Pinnacle Cup Championship, Ayush "AwptiX" Kumar produced a highlight reel with the Dane's best plays from the Lund event.

Last weekend, the Pinnacle Cup Championship saw HEROIC lift the trophy over in Lund, Sweden, living up to the status of the favorites of the event as they took down BIG in the consolidation final and Astralis in the grand final on the way to their first LAN title.

Although HEROIC had big performers of their own, it was their countryman and final opponent blameF who ended up claiming the HLTV x BitSkins Most Valuable Player award. Although it was a losing effort in the end, the Astralis star was by far and away the best player statistically at the $250,000 tournament.

The Great Dane lit up the leaderboards with fantastic numbers such as a 1.41 rating, 97.7 ADR, 0.92 KPR, 0.16 opening kills per round and 65.4% success in the opening duels, as well as 78.7% KAST, far outperforming his teammates on the way to a runners-up finish in Lund and his first ever MVP.

Worst MVP of all time? They have been mvps for Events without a single top 10 team, even though thats the minimum requirement for a lan tournament

They need actually 2 teams, that was the reason S1mple didn't get an RMR MVP in 2020 and was robbed by HLTV regularities. But now just change it just to boost Astralis again?? Very weird.

So he said it is "we do how it fits our story". Cuz the team are the same online or offline... A great example of objective journalism. The same goes with a worse rating getting a higher rank and giving device all MVPas when he wasn't the best player in his team HLTV = Astralis personal website.

lmao, no they've been doing the same thing since 2019. you can go through every event of the last 3.5 years and make sure they have followed these criterias all the way online tournament needs to have at least one top-5 and one top-10 team to have an mvp. also there needs to be a decent format with either double elim or gs+playoffs lan needs to have either 2 top-10 teams or at least 1 but with >100k prize pool (dh open rotterdam 2019 didn't get one, that was the most disputable thing out of them all, so if anyone got robbed it's cr4zy). format criteria is applied as well

Yeah if anything HLTV has been really consistent with how they give out MVPs etc., its just that in some cases facts/stats over feelings (even tho I hate that saying)

watching this i just realised how much he aims for the body instead of the head, might be cos opponent are usually already low as he is often the last to go. In serious note, for an "arguable" top5 rifler his hs% is extremely low, even s1mple as an awper has a higher HS percentage than him

b0rup spent 2 years on t1 level getting 63% hs on average so where do you put him in the best riflers' ranking? if u want to make a top-5 based on mechanical skill (which requires massive and specific research, not just hs%) it's a different story, but overall hs% is a useless stat as it says nothing about player's efficiency

Spraying all four bullets on enemy’s body is the same efficient as hitting headshot on the fourth bullet, not to mention M4A1 can’t even one shot the enemy so why bother one tap? Sanji has ridiculously high HS% guess where he is rn?
