NAVI qualify for BLAST Premier World Final

The Ukrainian-Russian squad become the second team to reach the million-dollar competition.

Natus Vincere took home the top prize in Lisbon after a triumphant BLAST Premier Spring Final campaign, which also guarantees them a spot in the BLAST World Final to be held at the end of the year, where eight teams will battle it out from December 14-18 for the $1,000,000 prize pool.

Denis "electroNic" Sharipov's side join ESL Pro League Season 15 winners FaZe in the list of teams that have already clinched their spot, and will ultimately be looking to defend their title from last year's iteration of the tournament.

Can NAVI secure back-to-back World Final victories?

Half of the six remaining spots will be filled by the winners of the upcoming BLAST Fall Final, ESL Pro League Season 16, and IEM Rio. The BLAST World Final Leaderboard will determine the final three teams based on the points they garnered throughout the year.

After 2021's competition was held behind closed doors due to a resurgence in the COVID-19 pandemic, this year's BLAST World Final's location and venue is yet to be revealed.

Currently, the list of participating teams is as follows:

Europe FaZe
Other ESL Pro League S16
Other World Final leaderboard
Other World Final leaderboard
Ukraine Natus Vincere
Other BLAST Fall Final
Other IEM Rio Major

What annoyed me about the Blast World Final last year was that it barely less important and grandiose than the Fall Finals in every aspect but the prize pool.

Yeah it felt like a money farm tournament for everyone, didnt seem very hype from players perspective and I think its gonna be the same this time with a huge amount of tournaments throughout the year diminishing the importance of this one

For me all blast tournaments feel like money farming and 0 fucks given by the teams/players since they are partners anyway.

Let's say Faze/Navi win EPL 16 or Fall Final, will the second place get the spot or how it works?

It's still a long time. Out of interest: what would happen, if a team chose to collectively go to another org? As a totally random example faze players go to dignitas and faze gets a completely new roster. Will the new roster of faze play the event (undeserved) or will dignitas get the spot?

Yeah but it would not make sense for the players to get there. Let's say Real Madrid wins the La Liga. Then, all the players are going to Valladolid. Then Valladolid should play in the Champions League? Would not make sense

in cs for the team to keep a spot in some tournament where they qualified as a full team, i think they need 3 players from the old core

So winning the Rio Major qualifies you for a Blast Finals, just as winning a previous, easier Blast Finals and just as being below the top already qualified teams in the leaderboard? Is it just me or the system is weird? I mean, Blast production, talent, team, everybody is great, but something doesn't add up with the qualifying system
