MIBR add HEN1 to starting lineup

The 27-year-old's arrival fills the spot vacated by Marcelo "⁠chelo⁠" Cespedes.

MIBR have announced the signing of Henrique "⁠HEN1⁠" Teles as the team's fifth member. The AWPer fills in the spot left open following the departure of Imperial-bound chelo, and is set to take over sniping duties from Breno "⁠brnz4n⁠" Poletto.

Prior to joining MIBR, HEN1 had been without a team for the past month. He was released from his contract with GODSENT following 00NATION's acquisition of Epitacio "⁠TACO⁠" de Melo, Eduardo "⁠dumau⁠" Wolkmer, and Bruno "⁠latto⁠" Rebelatto back in July.

HEN1 is back in action, this time with MIBR

HEN1's decorated career includes a spot on HLTV.org's year-end player rankings back in 2020, in which the Brazilian was recognized as the 16th best player of the year. He also has a number of remarkable tournament finishes under his name, most notably when his Immortals team reached the grand final at PGL Major Krakow, and his MVP-winning performance in the online EPL Season 12 NA with FURIA.

An established veteran of the game in his own right, HEN1 was one of GODSENT's most prolific members on the server, averaging a 1.13 rating throughout his three-month stay with the team. Despite his prowess wielding the sniper rifle, GODSENT continued to struggle when it came to Big Events, finishing 17-20th at EPL Season 15, and failing to qualify for both the PGL Major Antwerp and IEM Dallas.

HEN1 and the rest of MIBR will be looking to kick off the new season with a bang, their first challenge coming at ESL Pro League Season 16 in a group featuring the world's best team, FaZe, as well as other notorious sides such as G2 and BIG.

Unfortunate for HEN1, deserves a top team. Hopefully he gets to show off his skill here but can't help but feel he's being wasted. But no place for him in FURIA/00Nation/Imperial so makes sense. He never should have left FURIA

I don't know - I feel like him and Fallen are primary awpers - and if either of them became a secondary awper they would be wasted. I don't think a team can have 2 primary awpers - it never ends well.

look at the HLTV articles surrounding those 4 players (well 3 players and 1 coach), and look at how many times they join a team, and then leave it, and the whole team collapses, (and in the case of 100T the org leaves CSGO for a period of time) Also, flag.

Unpopular opinion, but not a good pickup. brnz4n showed a lot of promise with the AWP, and now he’s kicked off that role. MIBR should have tried to get a star rifler instead of another awper

I share your opinion, but not from a talent perspective. HEN1 has an incredibly high skill ceiling. My point of view is ever since HEN1 went from Tempo Storm to Immortals, he has left broken teams in his wake every time he gets benched or otherwise moves on. It isn't just HEN1 that has this problem, either. Would you rather have a decent AWPer, who isn't going to cause your entire squad to fracture and break apart. or a star AWPer, who will burn white hot for ~6 months, and destroy your team on its way to it's peak ranking. I know what i'd go for, personally.
