OG eliminate Complexity from BLAST Fall Groups
Abdul "degster" Gasanov's was the standout performer in OG's sweep over the North American squad.
OG took their first victory at BLAST Premier Fall Groups, defeating Complexity 2-0 in the opening match of the Knockout Stage and eliminating the North Americans from the event. The squad led by Johnny "JT" Theodosiou will now have to go through the Showdown in hopes of earning a spot at the Fall Finals.
Nemanja "nexa" Isaković's men came into the gauntlet phase after a winless Group A campaign but took down Complexity to salvage a spot in the Last Chance Stage at a minimum. The European mix will face Finn "karrigan" Andersen's FaZe on Friday, August 26 at 13:00 .

degster had by far the most consistent tournament performance despite OG woes in the Group Stage, while Håkon "hallzerk" Fjærli jumped from a 1.20 rating against Natus Vincere to 0.86 and 0.38 ratings in the losses to Liquid and the rematch to Natus Vincere.
The Russian marksman carried his good form into the match against Complexity, starting on Ancient where he posted a 1.21 rating to propel OG to a victory on the map. Only Maciej "F1KU" Miklas could overshadow degster as the Pole posted a 1.70 rating on the T side and won a 1v2 clutch in the eighth round to cement the offensive's dominance in the first half. The North American squad struggled to defend the B site and OG took full advantage of that weakness, cruising to an 11-4 half.
OG converted the second pistol round and extended their lead to 14-4, but their defense quickly slowed down. Complexity came alive on the T side and hallzerk began to find serious impact with the AWP, accumulating a 1.45 rating as the North American squad reduced the deficit all the way down to 13-15. Complexity's inability to convert clutch scenarios hurt them again on the T side, with degster coming out victorious in a 1v1 post-plant on A to stop the comeback and take the map for OG 16-13.

Despite a promising offensive performance at the end of Ancient, Complexity struggled on Overpass' T side. "Our coaches did a great job, preparing everything we should do [on Overpass] against teams like Complexity," said degster in the post-match interview. The team's preparation clearly showed as OG constantly read the North American's telegraphed hits on B while also keeping a strong hold on A during the 11-4 half.
"Our players like nexa, flameZ, and F1KU were playing B and they did a great job stopping them without giving them a chance to play the round," the AWPer continued, praising his teammates who were right behind him on the scoreboard as OG closed the map 16-4 without a single round loss on the T side.
