Endpoint stun NAVI to secure first win in Malta

Endpoint claimed their first Pro League victory after dispatching of the No. 1 ranked team in the world.

In the biggest possible upset of Group A, Endpoint convincingly took down Natus Vincere, 2-0. The European mix avoided early elimination by earning their first win in three matches and also handed Denis "⁠electroNic⁠" Sharipov's side their first loss of the competition.

Guy "⁠NertZ⁠" Iluz was a consistent performer across both maps, and finished the series with 46 kills and a 1.54 rating. The ever-consistent Oleksandr "⁠s1mple⁠" Kostyliev struggled against Endpoint and only put up a 0.80 rating — his lowest since the PGL Major Antwerp grand final.

Endpoint started out hot on Ancient and amassed a 5-0 lead against the world's highest-ranked team. Natus Vincere forced saves and converted retakes, which shifted the momentum to their side, but the European mix held on to their advantage and entered halftime up 8-7.

Max "⁠MiGHTYMAX⁠" Heath's men completely outgunned Natus Vincere throughout the entire second half, as all of the CIS squad's attacks fell to pieces. electroNic's crew had no answer for Endpoint, who put up a flawless performance on the CT side and claimed a convincing 16-7 victory. Kia "⁠Surreal⁠" Man and Joey "⁠CRUC1AL⁠" Steusel were unstoppable towards the end of the first map, as their multi-kill rounds effectively sealed the game for Endpoint.

Natus Vincere opened Dust2 with a 3-1 lead, but Endpoint immediately took control of the game thanks to their superior map control and well-executed retakes. The pair of NertZ and CRUC1AL shut down the Ukrainian-Russian side's attempts to push either mid or A short, as Natus Vincere were constantly locked out of either bomb site. Endpoint wrapped up the first half with a 10-5 lead, only six rounds away from winning the series.

Endpoint continued their dominance coming out of the break and clinched map point at 15-6, only dropping one round along the way. Natus Vincere refused to give up and scored the next four rounds, which included a failed bomb plant by Endpoint in the 24th, to cut their deficit to five. Their efforts were ultimately not enough as NertZ delivered the final blow in the 26th to give his team the win, 16-10.
