The previous world No. 1 player links up with a mix-team for La Coupe.

Elite AWPer Mathieu "⁠ZywOo⁠" Herbaut has pledged his services to a mix-team containing the likes of Niels Christian "⁠NaToSaphiX⁠" Sillassen and Richard "⁠ritchiEE⁠" Mestdagh for French tournament La Coupe, taking place November 19-20 in Paris, France. The winner will take home €2,000.

ZywOo's squad, playing under the name Prodigy, will compete alongside top national sides for the cash prize, including GenOne and LDLC. There is also some other notable French talent mixing for the event with Bryan "⁠Maka⁠" Canda and Jayson "⁠Kyojin⁠" Nguyen Van, who were both recently benched by Falcons, teaming up as adios-bahamas.

ZywOo comes into the event fresh from his early IEM Rio Major exit with Vitality, where the Frenchman fell short of his usual excellent standards with a 1.08 rating in the Legends Stage.

Temporary teammate ritchiEE has been plying his trade for EC Brugge in recent times, sporting a healthy 1.24 rating over the last three months. As for NaToSaphiX his last official listed on HLTV came in February when he stood in for ECSTATIC, although he did compete in the Kinguin Legends exhibition tournament for kennyS' Team in September.

Prodigy Agency announce new academy project

Also part of the Prodigy team is Jérôme "jEROMEC" Coupez, who is the CEO of Prodigy Agency and founded an academy project called "The Prodigies", which strives to provide opportunities and coaching for young players. The agency currently represents ZywOo.

Jérôme "jEROMEC" Coupez informed HLTV that should Prodigy win the event, they will donate their cash winnings to the highest placing amateur team.

In czech and slovakian scene the biggest tournament we have is czech championship but teams that want to play there have to play some tournaments during the year and collect points to qualify for czech championship. You said this tournament that ZywOo is going to play is biggest french tournament. I wanted to ask if its something like French Championship and if teams need to somehow qualify there or just sign up for it?

for those who don't know Zywoo doesn't do this for money or stats. The tournament is organized by the "biggest" individual French streamer KRL. KRL called Zywoo to bring people back to their cup, it will be a moment for French fans to go see Zywoo and see French teams play. The only thing I wonder is why bring back an Egyptian and a Dane?
