OG and Liquid complete BLAST Premier World Final team list
The eight teams who will play for $1,000,000 in Abu Dhabi next month have been determined.
OG and Liquid became the final two teams to qualify for the BLAST Premier World Final after securing a high enough placement on the BLAST Leaderboard, the organizer's points-based ranking used to determine a portion of the teams competing at the end-of-year tournament.
The last two spots were determined after Ninjas in Pyjamas, the only other team still in the running for a place at the World Final following the end of the BLAST Premier Fall Final group stage, were eliminated from the Danish event in 3rd-4th place and missed out on a chance to compete in Abu Dhabi.

HEROIC and G2 previously secured enough Leaderboard points to qualify after advancing to the quarter-finals in Copenhagen.
The other four teams clinched spots at the World Final thanks to title-winning runs at some of the year's biggest competitions. FaZe earned their spot as the champions of ESL Pro League Season 15 and PGL Major Antwerp, Natus Vincere after winning BLAST Premier Spring Final, Vitality due to their run to the title at ESL Pro League Season 16, and Outsiders after lifting the trophy at IEM Rio Major.
The four teams who qualified for the event based on the Leaderboard are all partnered with BLAST. Their affiliation with the tournament organizer gave them an advantage against non-partnered competition due to having significant additional opportunities to earn points in the partner-only BLAST Premier Spring and Fall Groups. Awarding 600 points automatically to every competitor and a whopping 2,400 points to teams placed 1st-3rd in each season's Groups — 400 more than what second place at a Major is worth — the Leaderboard was heavily weighted towards the BLAST competitions and, as a result, the BLAST partners.

Among those who missed out are non-partnered ENCE, who finished just outside of qualifying spots in eighth place of the Leaderboard at 5,950 points, only 350 points behind OG. Astralis, one of the 12 BLAST partners, finished in ninth place with 4,700 points to their name.
The following eight teams will compete for $1,000,000 in prizemoney at the BLAST Premier World Final in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates, from December 14-18:
