OG fall to HAVU in CCT North Europe Series 2

Nemanja "⁠nexa⁠" Isaković and company fell to the Finnish team in a two-map series.

HAVU have seen to the elimination of OG from the CCT North Europe Series 2 playoff bracket, dispatching of the European composition 2-0 following victories on Mirage (16-9) and Inferno (16-11). The Finns now await the winner of a match between FORZE and Movistar Riders.

OG previously managed a runners-up finish in CCT Central Europe Series 2, but have since struggled for results, managing a fourth place finish at the IEM Road to Rio Europe RMR B only to be eliminated from the Challengers Stage of the Major with a 2-3 record, losing to fnatic, FURIA, and Vitality.

OG's subsequent appearance at the BLAST Premier Fall Final also didn't go as the team would have hoped, with 0-2 losses to FaZe and Ninjas in Pyjamas bringing an immediate end to any hopes of playing in front of a Danish crowd.

OG have been knocked out of the tournament

The early exit from the online CCT event comes ahead of OG's BLAST Premier World Final bid, where they will be the lowest-ranked team in attendance. They have a little over a week to clean up their mistakes and bring a fresh approach for the tournament in Abu Dhabi, where they will have a final chance to net some important wins to close out the season.

HAVU, meanwhile, can hold their heads high after dispatching of the European combine who are ranked 43 places above them in the world ranking. The Finnish team claimed victory off the back of two strong defensive efforts, recovering from an initial 8-7 deficit on Mirage by putting on a masterclass on the CT side, losing just one round en route to victory.

OG didn't fare much better on their own map pick of Inferno as HAVU jumped out to an 11-4 lead by the end of the first half, an effort led by a stellar 20-6 scoreline from Sami "⁠xseveN⁠" Laasanen. Maciej "⁠F1KU⁠" Miklas, Shahar "⁠flameZ⁠" Shushan, and Adam "⁠NEOFRAG⁠" Zouhar put in an effort to bring their side back into the map, but the rounds they tallied only served to make the scoreline look more respectable in the end as HAVU eventually closed things out, 16-11.
