Astralis sign Buzz
The 19-year-old player rounds out the starting lineup as Mikkel "MistR" Thomsen returns to the development squad.
Astralis have announced that a deal has been struck for Christian "Buzz" Andersen. The 19-year-old joins Peter "casle" Ardenskjold's men from MASONIC, with whom he won the most recent POWER Ligaen over Astralis Talent.
"We now have the roster in place," casle said of having a set five, "and I am really looking forward to working with the team in the new set-up, which is currently being finalized."

The signing comes after a long period of talks with MASONIC, dating all the way back to October. The negotiations had stalled and were close to dead, but were brought back to life after Astralis was turned down when inquiring about Sprout's Victor "Staehr" Staehr and HEROIC's Rasmus "sjuush" Beck.

"I am very happy and really proud," Buzz said of signing for one of the most recognized Danish organizations. "I have studied and looked up to the players on the Astralis team for several years, and in many ways, that has shaped me as a CS player. The fact that I can now call myself an Astralis player on a team with several of those players and in the role I've always imagined is just crazy cool."
TV2 Denmark analyst Lucas "Bubzkji" Andersen commented on the signing early on, when it was first reported that Buzz would join Astralis, saying it would be a good one due to the youngster's professional attitude.
Buzz's debut will come at the BLAST Premier Spring Groups, where Astralis are a partnered team. He will then play his first Big Event in February, ESL Pro League Season 17, as Astralis did not finish high enough on the ESL World Ranking to receive an IEM Katowice invite.
The outgoing player to make room for Buzz in the quintet is MistR, who was standing in for the main squad from Astralis Talent for two months following the departure of Kristian "k0nfig" Wienecke. The youngster will return to the academy going into 2023.
Astralis also announced extending Alexander "br0" Bro's contract in the development team, which means he will once again start for Astralis Talent after the new year, and signing 22-year-old Mathias "R0nic" Pinholt as the new coach for the youth squad.
Astralis is now:
Lukas "gla1ve" Rossander
Benjamin "blameF" Bremer
Nicolai "device" Reedtz
Andreas "Xyp9x" Højsleth
Christian "Buzz" Andersen
Peter "casle" Ardenskjold (coach)
Lucas 'Bubzkji' Andersen
Kristian 'k0nfig' Wienecke
Richard 'Xizt' Landström
