Details for first CCT Studio Finals revealed

The $100,000 LAN event is due to run from February 16-19 and be held in the Mediterranean nation of Malta.

GRID, in collaboration with GamingMalta and Eden Esports, have unveiled further information surrounding the schedule and team list for the upcoming CCT Central Europe Studio Finals.

The event, which will be the first of 11 studio finals in the Champion of Champions tour, is scheduled to play out in Malta from February 16-19 and boasts a $100,000 prize pool.

ENCE have accepted an invite to the CCT Central Europe Studio Finals

The eight-team tournament will kick off with a GSL-style group stage, with those who clinch a top-two finish advancing to the playoffs. From there, play will transition into a double-elimination bracket before culminating in a best-of-three grand final.

The eventual victors will take home the lion's share of the $100,000 cash prize whilst also guaranteeing themselves a place at the $500,000 CCT Global Finals, which is slated to be held at some point in 2024.

Copenhagen Flames and FORZE earned berths to the competition thanks to their placing on the regional ranking leaderboard. The two teams finished in first and second place, respectively, with the Danes notably sporting back-to-back victories in the final two online cups to earn themselves a spot at the CCT Central Europe Studio Finals.

The Danish and Russian squads are joined in the event by ENCE, who are the first roster to receive an invite to the inaugural studio finals of the CCT tour, and HONORIS, who replace MIBR in the LAN competition thanks to their performances across the CCT Central Europe Series 1-4 online tournaments. The remaining four rosters that will round out the team list are due to be announced at a later date.

"A successful season in Central Europe is coming to a close with our first LAN event of 2023. Our partner, REPUBLEAGUE, has done an admirable job and we look forward to an exciting final in Malta," said Fabian Logemann, Head of Tournaments at GRID Esports. "We are proud to partner with GamingMalta for the organisation of this event and cannot wait to see who secures the first slot to the CCT Global Finals 2024!"

The teams set to participate at the CCT Central Europe Studio Finals are as follows:

CCT CE: #1 - did not played #2 - 6/24 #3 - 6/24 #4 - 14/24 they were like 5/10 points behind MIBS (literaly 1 more game to win) but because MIBR is not an EU team so they did not got invited - and Honoris was next in line

Did much more than the other teams for sure. They made it all the way to the quarters from open qualifier in the second and closed qualifier in the third series. Meanwhile forze and copenhagen flames just got direct invites to the playoffs. CCT is supposed to be meant for lower level teams in different regions to grow. What's the point of it if all the teams are just the bigger and more popular teams getting directly invited?
