$300,000 BetBoom Playlist Urbanistic event set to start

The event is being run by tournament organiser FISSURE in association with BetBoom.

BetBoom Playlist Urbanistic is set to begin February 20, with 16 teams slated to do battle in the main stage of the competition. The online event, which runs through to April 3, features a $300,000 prize pool, with $165,000 going to the eventual winner.

There will be three stages to the competition: the main stage, the play-in stage, and the playoffs. The main stage, running February 20-March 16, features the 16 initially invited teams doing battle in a best-of-three Swiss system. The top eight teams advance to the first round of the playoffs.

Bad News Eagles will be the highest-ranked team in the main stage

The play-in stage, set to take place March 17-18, will feature four more invited teams, with the two winners of the double-elimination best-of-three bracket heading to the quarter-finals of the playoffs. There will also be two additional invite slots for the quarter-finals.

The playoffs themselves, going down March 27-April 3, will use a single elimination, best-of-three bracket.

Bad News Eagles are the highest-ranked team in attendance, fresh from their runners-up finish at the CCT Central Europe Malta Finals. They will be hoping to build upon their positive result in Malta in this competition. Also featuring from the top 20 are Sprout, Aurora, Copenhagen Flames and FORZE.
