The majority-Syrian squad advanced through the Middle East closed qualifier.

The team list for the BLAST.tv Paris Major Asia RMR has been determined following the conclusion of the Middle East closed qualifier. Invictus International booked their spot in the RMR through the upper bracket on Saturday, while Shuaib "⁠D0cC⁠" Ahmad and Nikola "⁠Lobanjica⁠" Mijomanović's Twisted Minds advanced via the lower bracket by overcoming Ooredoo Thunders in a best-of-three series.

Invictus International qualify for BLAST.tv Paris Major Asia RMR

Twisted Minds previously claimed victory over Ooredoo Thunders in the upper bracket semi-final, winning Inferno 16-10, but faltered to Invictus International in their ensuing match to subsequently get sent down to the consolidation final.

D0cC and company will head to Mongolia to fight for a spot at the Major

Ooredoo Thunders had managed to recover from their loss to Lobanjica's side by securing 2-0 victories over GhostFaces and Divine Vendetta in the lower bracket, but couldn't continue that run upon meeting Twisted Minds in a rematch, this time for a spot at the RMR itself.

The Syrian-majority squad had little trouble in closing out the series in two maps, dominating on their opponent's pick of Overpass 16-7 before taking their own pick of Anubis over the line, 16-12. Ahmad "⁠SpAwNnS⁠" Kanaan was a rock for his team across the two maps, posting 22 kills on each, and ended the series with a 1.43 rating and 92.2 ADR.

we used to have an african qualifier in 2019. Now they are stuck to play in this with 300 ping and india and pakistan have to play in shit ping too. Basically blast didnt look at the countries in the qualifier and just did what every other organizer does, nothing just says theres a MENA qualifier.

if u think d0cc is random 2k elo player idk what to tell u. first of all he's 5761 elo, He's N10 in faceit right behind ZyWoo(N9 5781) and right in front of smooya (N11 5755). he played vs Heroic some time ago and he was outfragging everyone on the server. Loba is constantly fragging out vs tier 1 players on FPL and i'm sure these 3 players are good too, especially blackeagle.
