Olga joins HSG fe

The second-best women's player of 2022 makes a surprise move to Asia.

HSG fe have announced the signing of Olga "⁠Olga⁠" Rodrigues. The news confirms reports that linked the Brazilian with a departure from FURIA fe, where she had played since September 2021.

The move will come as a massive injection of firepower to the Asian squad. Olga averaged a 1.39 rating in 2022 and was named the second-best women's player of the year behind Nigma Galaxy's Ana "⁠ANa⁠" Dumbravă after spearheading FURIA fe's successes.

Olga makes a surprise move to Asia

Always the bridesmaids but never the brides, FURIA fe finished runners-up to the dominant Nigma Galaxy side at all three premier tournaments on the women's scene in 2022: the finals of the first two seasons of ESL Impact League and at ESL Impact Valencia.

In their last tournament with Olga, the Brazilians went out in the semi-finals of ESL Impact Katowice last month after another narrow loss to their perennial rivals around Ksenia "⁠vilga⁠" Kluenkova.

HSG fe first appeared on the international women's scene late last year when they made it to the ESL Impact League Season 2 finals and made it to the playoffs, before bowing out of the competition at the hands of Olga's team. In the opening tournament of 2023 in Katowice, the Asian side were ousted in the group stage after two losses to B4 fe.

Upon being contacted by HLTV, Ramona "⁠gfi⁠" Azween Binti Zaharuddin has revealed that the team will use the following roster moving forward:
