ex-Anonymo trio join forces under Gentlefolk

The new lineup aims to compete for honors both in Poland and internationally.

The Polish trio of Arek "⁠Vegi⁠" Nawojski, Łukasz "⁠mwlky⁠" Pachucki, and Oskar "⁠oskarish⁠" Stenborowski have formed a new lineup under the name Gentlefolk. The players were rejoined by their compatriot oskarish together with Rasmus "⁠kreaz⁠" Johansson and Zoran "⁠xicoz⁠" Markovski, whose respective teams disbanded in recent months.

Gentlefolk's main contingent comprises players and staff that left Anonymo in February following their failure to qualify for the Paris Major RMRs. The Polish players briefly remained together and competed under the ODLOTOWE AGENTKI banner in ESEA Advanced Season 44, but have since decided to go their separate ways.

oskarish competed for Anonymo in 2022, but after a poor run of form in the closing months of the year, the 25-year-old in-game leader did not renew his contract with the organization. Instead he joined forces again with Vegi and mwlky alongside the backroom staff consisting of coach Adrian "⁠imd⁠" Pieper, assistant coach Damian "xo" Gołembiewski, and manager Radek "Jahrez" Borcuch.

kreaz and xicoz form the international contingent around the Polish trio in Gentlefolk following the dissolution of BLUEJAYS and Finest over the course of the last six months. The Swedish rifler averaged a 1.05 rating in his time with his previous squad, while the North Macedonian managed a 1.03 score in all competitions and helped BLUEJAYS lift the trophy at IESF World Championship 2022.

Anonymo disband

"After parting ways with Anonymo, we wanted to create a younger project that could still compete on the Polish scene, but also internationally," reads Gentlefolk's statement. "By opening up to the European market, our prospects for the build expanded significantly. The training looked optimistic enough for everyone that we decided to play together despite the lack of support from any organization."
