The Slovakian decided to hang up his mouse at age 24 after losing interest in competing.

Patrik "⁠Zero⁠" Žúdel has announced his decision to retire from competing in a statement on Twitter. The Slovakian cited a loss of interest in competing as the reason behind this decision.

"I'm grateful for the incredible 10-year journey in esports," his statement reads. "I feel privileged to be able to retire at the age of 24 and look back on the great memories from the past years."

"I have lost interest in competing and as a result, I am no longer driven to improve my skills in CS. I am not interested in pursuing something solely for money."

Zero says it is time to explore his other passions

The 24-year-old briefly touched on his future by saying it is the "appropriate moment for me to explore other passions" and revealing his plan to "dedicate some time to self-study."

Zero is perhaps best known for the time he spent representing HellRaisers alongside the likes of Kyrylo "⁠ANGE1⁠" Karasiow, Martin "⁠STYKO⁠" Styk, and Tomáš "⁠oskar⁠" Šťastný in 2016-2017. With the European team he got to play the first ELEAGUE Major and attended several other Major qualifiers, won Copenhagen Games in 2016, and placed second at DreamHack Open Tours in 2017.

In more recent times Zero played for GamerLegion from 2020-2022 on the tier-two scene before he replaced OG-bound Adam "⁠NEOFRAG⁠" Zouhar in SINNERS. Last month, it was announced that Zero had made a decision to step down from the Czech side for personal reasons.

hes washed up. watched him in Sampi around 1-2 years ago and he was just kinda bad, if they wanted queztone he would be the igl but they already have an igl. they've been playing with their academy player outex (not a good pickup IMO, kinda NPL moment) and more recently with quertzz which is a young and really good player. Recently been part of "the prodigies"
