MIBR, Monte qualify for ESL Pro League Season 18
The Brazilian and Ukrainian rosters won their respective ESL Challenger League finals to secure berths to the 32-team LAN event.
MIBR and Monte earned spots at ESL Pro League Season 18 after reigning supreme in the North American and European ESL Challenger League Season 44 grand finals, respectively.
ESL Pro League Season 18, which will run from August 30-October 1, will once again feature a 32-team setup and be held in the Mediterranean island nation of Malta.

MIBR's run to a first-place showing began with a relatively straightforward run through ESL Challenger League Season 44's group stage. The Brazilians finished atop Group A with a 6-1 record — their only loss being a forfeit loss to Mythic as a result of the Brazilians traveling to Malta for ESL Pro League Season 17.
Raphael "exit" Lacerda and company's breezed through the playoffs once back stateside, with the Brazilian troupe picking up comfortable 2-0 victories over DETONATE, Nouns, and ATK en route to a spot in the best-of-five grand final, where they benefited from a one-map advantage thanks to coming from the upper bracket.
From there, it was a case of repeating their upper bracket final win over Gareth "MisteM" Ries' troops, clinching victory after hard-fought displays on Vertigo (19-16) and Inferno (16-14) to punch their ticket to ESL Pro League Season 18.
The victory sees MIBR return to ESL's flagship league after also qualifying for the recently-concluded ESL Pro League Season 17. The Brazilians were dealt a rough hand during their time in Malta, earning a win over IHC but also suffering defeats to G2 and fnatic to be sent down to the last chance stage, where they were eventually sent packing from the event in 21-28th place following a 0-2 defeat to Eternal Fire.
As for Monte, the Ukrainian-majority outfit had to make a run through the lower bracket to secure their appearance at the Maltese LAN event, initially being sent down to early exit territory in the double-elimination bracket after losing to 9INE in the upper bracket quarter-final.
Viktor "sdy" Orudzhev and co. stabilized from this point on, however, recording mostly composed victories over the likes of 1win, FORZE, SAW in their sprint to the grand final, where they ultimately enjoyed revenge over 9INE, 3-1 (Anubis 16-11, Nuke 16-7, Ancient 16-9), despite coming into the brawl with a one-map disadvantage to qualify for ESL Pro League Season 18.
