Round 3 matches confirmed for Europe RMR B
Either Astralis or Spirit will be heading home on day two of the RMR.
The matchups for the third round of the Europe RMR B are now set after day one concluded. Astralis, Spirit, and ENCE are set to fight for their lives, whilst Monte and 9INE have the chance to secure Legends spots for themselves.
Astralis and Spirit will clash yet again in 2023, having already played each other twice at ESL Pro League and once during the IEM Dallas closed qualifier. This time elimination from Major contention is on the line. Astralis won the two more recent matchups and thus will head into the match as favorites, but they may have held that status regardless as Spirit are now on a six-match losing streak over the last three weeks.

The teams ready for their first shot at qualification include surprise packages 9INE and Monte, who carried their excellent online form into the event in Copenhagen by going 2-0 on the opening day. The Poles look forward to a fight against Vitality in a series that will pitch ex-ENCE teammates Olek "hades" Miskiewicz and Lotan "Spinx" Giladi against one another. Monte will take on HEROIC in the other 2-0 bout.
Both 9INE and Monte have the chance to secure a Legends Stage berth, and would add to the underdog teams that have already qualified directly to that stage; Into the Breach and Bad News Eagles managed to fight their way to a Legends Stage spot from Europe RMR A.
A raft of 1-1 matches are set to take place but perhaps the toughest matchup to predict is FORZE versus Ninjas in Pyjamas.
Many expected Ninjas in Pyjamas to struggle at this RMR as they arrived in Copenhagen in poor form, having slipped to outside the top 20 in the world rankings. They have gone some way to putting those expectations to bed after they dispatched Eternal Fire 16-11 in their opener, before running Vitality close in a 13-16 game. FORZE on the other hand thoroughly impressed in their ESL Pro League run, but had to come back from a 5-16 spanking at the hands of Cloud9 in their first match in Denmark. They did so by squeaking a narrow 16-14 win over ENCE.
